[quote:4e6438eafe]Lisa Kudrow (Friends) returns to television and stars as Valerie Cherish, the former "B-list" star of a 1989 sitcom called "I'm It!" who becomes so desperate to regain the spotlight that she agrees to star in a new reality television show called "The Comeback," with cameras following her every move as she lands a part on a new network sitcom about four singles living in a condo. Totally scripted, The Comeback explores the madness of television, a Beverly Hills lifestyle, and the bravery of a comic-tragic 40-year-old woman who is slowly sinking.

The Comeback, a show-within-a-show-within-a-show, is written and executive produced by Kudrow and Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City). Kudrow's producing partner Dan Bucatinsky executive produces through the duo's production company, Is or Isn't Entertainment. [/quote:4e6438eafe]

I'm interested in this show, it definately sounds like it has some potential if worked the right way, apparently it wasn't recieved to well by critics but we'll wait and see.

It starts June 5th in the USA, will be looking for downloads soon.

Not that it seems anyone cares but the show premiered over the weekend in the US, i just downloaded the episode and it was funny, very different to Lisa Kudrows previous roles, its very quirky and i think the show has alot of potential, i see it as a type of quirky dry humor, worth a look for those interested.

It only scored 1.5 million viewers on the pilot which isn't great, but HBO don't get super high ratings and keep in mind this is broadcast on cable or pay tv over there and isn't shown on a network where it would've gotten higher ratings.

She was on Leno talking about it, and it looked very funny, hopefully we will get it!

I like the shows w/out the canned laughter.
"Gosh, I don't think I've ever been stressed out. I mean, why would I be? I got practically no responsibilities, my job's a breeze, and I've got a killer rack! Good morning!"

Its very funny and no canned laughter.

Although its fictional if you like to get a small insight into the world of tv this show does it great in the "shaky camera, reality show style footage"

Channel 9 just brought the rights for the show and will be airing it early next year - Tv Week.

They'll have to put it on 930ish for the swearing and bit of nudity.

Ooooh M, eh? Sounds cool. I bet it'll last.

I crave for some good shows that actually stick around. Nothing's been on all the way through that I like except for The OC. That really, truly is it. Hopefully this show will stay next year.

What about Lost or Desperate Housewives? They have stuck.
