SBS to air Amazon crime series, Bosch.

SBS has purchased seasons one and two of Amazon’s crime series Bosch, starring Titus Welliver (Lost) as an LAPD homicide detective whose dedication to duty often conflicts with his personal and professional life.

SBS ONE will air 10 part series from July, based on the successful books by Michael Connelly.

Speaking about the Australian deal, Marshall Heald, director of television and online content for SBS, said: “The story of LAPD homicide detective Harry Bosch has captivated millions of readers for years and Bosch the series brings the same grit and intrigue fans of author Michael Connelly’s best-selling franchise expect and new audiences will be gripped by.

“Bosch is the perfect addition to SBS’s slate of premium drama and enhances our commitment to delivering the world’s best drama to Australian audiences.”

Amazon renewed the series one month after the biggest ever debut weekend for the streaming service. During its first four weeks, it was the most-watched show on Amazon, including all movies and television.

sounds good, will check it out when it airs.

SBS should air all online streaming shows from Amazon, Netflix and such.

this will air Wednesday, 29 July at 9.30pm on SBS ONE. put it in you calendar.

SBS will debut new U.S. crime drama, Bosch, in July.

Based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling books, this stars Titus Welliver (Sons of Anarchy, The Good Wife) as Hieronymus ‘Harry’ Bosch, a relentless LA detective who will stop at nothing to bring justice to victims.

It also stars Jamie Hector (The Wire, Heroes), Lance Reddick (Fringe, The Wire) and Scott Wilson (The Walking Dead) and was executive produced by Eric Overmyer (The Wire) and Henrik Bastin (Burn Notice) and directed by Jim McKay (The Wire, Boss, Rectify).

The Amazon series was renewed one month after their biggest ever debut weekend in February.

In this first season, Detective Bosch chases a homicide case after a dog brings home a human bone from the Hollywood Hills. Bosch’s investigation takes on a life and death urgency when a killer, who confessed to the mysterious Hills’ murder, escapes custody and begins a murderous rampage across Los Angeles. Bosch and the killer become entangled in a cat and mouse game, with the killer taunting Bosch as the investigation starts to turn personal. The case unearths Bosch’s buried past as well as his relationship with his ex-wife and 14-year-old daughter.

The 10-part first season takes viewers through back streets and neighbourhoods of Los Angeles rarely seen on-screen and draws on plotlines from three Bosch novels: ‘Concrete Blonde’, ‘Echo Park’ and ‘City Of Bones.’

Repeated on Mondays at 11:00pm on sbs one.
I like it , have been watching since the start.
Although the rogue loner cop who is always right and that no-one listens too has been done to death.
Still it has my interest 8-)
In the game of life always back self-interest.
