Airdate: Bates Motel

Seven will screen Season One of Bates Motel next month, the modern-day prequel to Psycho which has previously screened on Foxtel.

The series has been renewed for a third season.

After the tragic death of her husband, Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) buys a motel on the outskirts of an idyllic coastal town seeking a fresh start. Her handsome and shy teenage son Norman (Freddie Highmore) quickly catches the eyes of the local girls, much to his mother’s horror. Norma and Norman soon discover the idyllic town isn’t what it seems, and the locals will do anything to protect their secret.

But the Bates are done being pushed around and they will do whatever it takes to survive–and to protect secrets of their own. When everything is most tense, an unexpected guest arrives and turns their lives upside down.

that's awesome, but such a late timeslot though. 7 should really use 7two more on shows like this, although I would have thought ABC or SBS would have wanted to air this. this should be paired with Hannibal 9:30-11:30 on Seven.

did anyone watch this on Seven? I did an forgot to share my thoughts.

didn't think much of it, and that's all I pretty much have to say. got bored with it.

should have been set in the 60s or earlier, would have made more sense being a prequel and all.

^^
I still have the last few eps recorded. Agree about the time setting, seemed strange to see it set in "modern times" rather than the Sixties. However I'm quite enjoying it and will watch to the end :)
