[quote:2d98768fac]USA has given the greenlight to "White Collar," sending the drama to series.

The Fox Television Studios production focuses on a pair of long-time adversaries, a charming criminal mastermind (Matthew Bomer) and a dogged G-man (Tim DeKay). Facing capture and jail-time (or the tsouris of breaking out of prison once again), the con artist offers to help his FBI contemporary track down other criminals in exchange for his freedom.

In addition to Bomer ("Chuck") and DeKay ("Tell Me You Love Me"), "White Collar" stars Tiffani [No more "Amber"] Thiessen ("Saved By the Bell," "Beverly Hills, 90210") and Will Garson ("Sex and the City").

"'White Collar' is the perfect complement in our hot summer line up of character-driven originals that continue to draw loyal audiences to USA Network," say Jackie de Crinis, USA's vice president for original scripted programming. "The strength of the show's lead characters, smart writing and crisp direction are key elements that we believe are the tentpoles of another compelling series."

The series was created by Jeff Eastin ("Hawaii"). The 90-minute pilot was directed by Bronwen Hughes ("Burn Notice") and will be followed by 13 hour-long episodes. "White Collar" will be shot on location in New York.

This is USA's second pilot pickup of the year, following "Royal Pains," starring Mark Feurerstein, which was ordered in January. "Royal Pains" will similarly launch with a 90-minute pilot, followed by 11 hour-long episodes.[/quote:2d98768fac]

Who needs convincing? Burn Notice director and Matthew Bomer (Chuck). What are you waiting for? 8)

 I totally forgot I created a thread for this.

As for the show, I didnt really enjoy it, I found the case bland and didn't really think much of the characters. I'll stick with it because USA Network is one of my favourite nets, but if it continues to be as bland I'll just dump it. Hopefully it does gain some momentum later on in the season.

The second episode wasn't even half as good as the pilot... Quite a let-down. :? However, a lot of my favourite shows had crappy second episodes ([i:56487680e8]Veronica Mars, Supernatural[/i:56487680e8], to name two). I'll give it my usual 5-ep-trial-run; if the pilot's the only good episode out of those five, I'll give it the flick. :(

I haven't watched it yet. That's mostly due to wanting to write instead of "procrastinating via TV". :shifty: But since I've enjoyed the last two eps, I'm expecting to love this one too. ;)

Two more weeks of WC, and then hiatus (don't know how long).

[quote:f439dba1dc="E!Online"][b:f439dba1dc]I'm loving White Collar! Any scoop?[/b:f439dba1dc]
Ever since the White Collar pilot, we've found that the everyday eps of this USA series have been a [i:f439dba1dc]smidgen[/i:f439dba1dc] flimsier than we'd like, but the midseason finale on Dec. 4 is the sharp and snappy standard we'd like to see from the show. What happens? [spoiler:f439dba1dc]Well, Neal (Matthew Bomer) is finally confronted with a criminal nemesis worthy of his talents, Elizabeth Burke's (Tiffani Thiessen) presence on the show starts to make sense, and there is a huge (huge!) reveal about Agent Burke (Tim McKay) that involves something pretty important from Neal's past.[/spoiler:f439dba1dc][/quote:f439dba1dc]

TVBYN/Futon Critic recently reported Burn Notice will return on January 28, followed by White Collar, the later on an all new day (Thursday).

Loved last Friday's episode. And finally Kate returns... I had been wondering when/if we'd see her again.

Okay, every episode [except the 2nd] has been great.

1x06 had a subtle cliffhanger (is Neal working for the enemy?) leading us into what will apparently be a very awesome storyline in the midseason finale next week.
