[b60]About the Show[/b60]
[quote60]The series tells the story of Amanda Price (played by Jemima Rooper), a keen Jane Austen fan in the present day, who meets the Pride and Prejudice character of Elizabeth Bennet (played by Gemma Arterton) in her bathroom. Amanda goes through a secret doorway hidden in the wall that Elizabeth showed her, and finds herself trapped inside the story. While Elizabeth is happy to live in Amanda's world, Amanda struggles to make sure that events of the book unfold as they are supposed to, but her presence causes ripples through the Bennet household.[/quote60]

I was a huge fan of Jemima Rooper from her work on the Supernatural show Hex.

I heard about the show from a friend and have downloaded the pilot episode. I can't wait to check it out.

This is getting great press in the UK.

Thanks for the heads-up on this show. I hadn't heard of it. I'll watch anything with Jemima Rooper in it. Loved her in Hex and Sinchronicity. The hottest British actress around, I reckon.

Am 2 episodes in and loving it (and not even being an Austen fan). Seems like a good thing to [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpPS3WNGNJ8]turn the works of Austen on their head![/url]

This show is one of the most brilliant shows I've ever watched! Who'd have thought that Elizabeth Bennet would have a mobile phone or use the Internet?
What sucks is that they're now making a movie version of it. =| Why must people butcher good things?

Yes I liked this one too. Must admit I'm a bit of an Austen fan.
One thing though is that I like my Darcys to be a bit more attractive :shifty:

Laughed at her asking Darcy to get the "wet shirt" look - she is more of a fan of that series after all, I think

Had a marathon last night - rewatched the first two with subtitles and then the final two. Great stuff!

Darcy was great of course but I really loved Mrs Bennett - especially with the subtitles [sighs dramatically], the way she bounces up and down with excitement and then there is the way she threw herself off the chair when the word duel is mentioned
