I will be watching secret life of us, taping 24 and taping south park. My vcrs will have a big work out. I figure I will just save all my 24 tapes and watch them in succession over 24 hours straight. You know going to the toilet when jack does and eating when he does. Hopefully I will survive the day.

i'll be watching and taping 24... made the mistake of not doing so for the first season, not so this year.

Secret Life has never interested me. I have watched a few eps to be able to actually say that with any credibility, but its just not my type of show. Plus, its Australian!

[quote:bb8daaabd8="Cale Millman"] I was thinking about how cool it would be to watch all the 3 Lord of the Rings movies on DVD in one day if you had never seen any of them before. Makes me wish I didn't go see the first two [/quote:bb8daaabd8]

That would be a work out... but would certainly be a great experience! How much do you reckon a box set for all three movies would be when the last movie finally comes out?

well the godfather trilogy retails at about $130 wheras the back to the future box set goes for as little as $55.

for a lord of the rings trilogy i'd say you'd be looking at about $120. i would not be suprised if they included a fourth disc of documentary/behind the scenes footage.

anyway, that's my two cents.

dan.

The existing four discs for the first were retailing at about 75

You could be looking at the high 100's around $180 or even $200 for the set on release (depending on extras)

Besides you wouldn't be able to join in all the talk/forums/wild opinion having if you didn't see the movie until the box set was released.

You would have to locate a set of friends of a much younger age...to identify to speak to in two plus years time who will discover the films on DVD release

same with the star wars 6 movie set. That will retail for high 100s easy.

The only thing with the star wars set is I think the new movies will ruin the plot twist in empire that made that movie so good. What I mean is you will already no about lukes past having seen all the prequel movies, so the huge twist that darth vader is luke's father will likely be ruined. Unless they do the third movie in such a wierd way as to ensure the twist in empire is still relevant.

Anyway it comes out the new star wars movie is definitely going to be the hardest for them to make, but if done right I think could be the best yet!

From Secret Life of Us to Star Wars, hehe nice work guys... ;) I think episode 3 should be interesting though - we know what happens in the end but we don't know how it happens (eg what pushes Anakin to the dark side).

If I tape 24 I probably won't get around to watching it again anyway, so I'll just watch... determined to my parents to watch it this time too heh.
