I watched the pilot and it wasn't very funny. David Spade + Everybody Loves Raymond Writers should have given that away  Patrick Warburton had me hopeful but he's the only moderately funny character in the show.

How many great shows have started off not that funny? Raymond for one had an average pilot but turned into one of classic sitcoms. How about Seinfeld? Started off very average indeed before hitting it's stride. Cheers was boring to start with.

Anyway I'm a fan of Spade and the dude from Seinfeld so looking forward to it. Certainly moreso then Back To You.

I've seen every episode of this show so far, and it certainly gets better as it goes along. Of course, as with most sitcoms, there are always good and bad episodes, but on the whole I really enjoy this show. I'm definitely more of a fan of Patrick Warburton than I am of David Spade, but both play their parts very well.

All sitcoms usually take time to settle in.

Well, I've liked what I've seen from the ads Ten have been showing for it, so I'll definitely at least be giving this one a chance.

Will catch this show, David Spade and Patrick Warburton are enough to get me to commit to at least 3 episodes despite the bad ads ch 10 have been showing.

I think most people are overly critical of comedy pilots, if a show is not doing anything after 2-3 eps then i usually would avoid it unless i saw potential.

the Seinfeld pilot was the most boring thing ive ever seen, and i adore Seinfeld. I completely disagree with you on Cheers loved that pilot and found the first season to be quite hilarious - very ahead of its time IMO which is why it probably didnt catch on straight away.

I wasn't really talking about the entire first season of Cheers which is very good..more the first handful of episodes. Meaning that even the best of shows need time for the cast to gel etc.
