This show was HILARIOUS! Everyone in it was funny. But I loved Rose the best coz she's just so stupid at times!

DOROTHY: I was so angry that I didn't get that teacher's job that I went into my car and SCREAMED until I was hoarse. then, i realised WHY i didn't get the job. because i looked in the rear-view mirror, and i saw the face of an old, old lady peering back.
ROSE: Oh........ (beat) Who was it?
DOROTHY: It was me, Rose!

I was a youngun when i watched that show and i really liked it... but come to think of it my dad found it amusing too, that's kind of odd because i have nothing in common with my dad when it comes to comedy shows.

I'll need to see some re-runs to confirm whether i still find the golden girls amusing :o

I bought seasons 1 - 3 about a month ago, but ive only just started watching Season 1 today. Its a pretty good show, I think Rose and Sophia are the best characters in the show. Also its funny how Dorothy is always making fun of Rose for the stupid things she says.

Yeh I always liked Rose. She's like the Phoebe of The Golden Girls. I remember being very excited when I was younger & we toured the universal (i think it was universal...or MGM) backlot & saw The Golden Girls house.

Yeah Bea Arthur does sound like a man, i remember Family Guy making fun of her in an episode because of her manlike voice.
