'rain shadow' is a new Aussie drama (6 part series) on the ABC. The first episode aired last night.

the show is about a 'vet-in-training', arriving from a city town to a rural community, named Jill. Her boss 'Kate' seems like a 'nasty' lady. In the extended cast is Gary Sweet who plays the rich community member

It was a good first episode.

(and what a busy year for Gary Sweet. First up, he was on SBS's drama 'The Circuit', then he jumped to Nine for 'Things to Try Before you Die', and now he's on the ABC for this show)

Good show. Two leading characters (Kate and Jill) are great.

What was the lady 'next door' to the vet doing? What's wrong with her?

we are a third-way into the show. Is there anyone else in here (apart from 'crazy old man' and myself) who watches this show?

I tried watching first two episodes. Its too slow and rather boring. ABC have done better.
The best way to be boring is to leave nothing out.

I've been watching it, and want to like it as it is filmed in SA and I like Victoria Thaine, but it is pretty slow, and will need to pick up for me to persist with it.

I just looked at the IMDB entry for it and Rachel Ward isn't listed in the cast!
