does anyone know if this show will ever come out on DVD? knowing how long we'll have to wait for freaks and geeks on DVD, it'll probably be about 10 bloody years.

Hi, sorry don't know much about the Oblongs dvd but had some questions to do with the Freaks and Geeks dvd.

Isn't this being or has been released? Saw some interview with Linda Cardellini and I think I recall her talking about it? If so, is it available in Australaia yet?

Thanks.

I doubt the Oblongs will be released on DVD - and if it is, it will be a while.
The series didn't even get a full season in the US, and got awful treatment here in Australia.

Aired all episode on Optus' old Oh! Channel.
Nine aired all the seasons at some ungodly hour.
The Comedy Channel currently has the rights. Played the season through and not sure if it is still planning to repeat it!

This site allows you to vote for shows you'd buy on DVD, and how you'd want to buy them. All you need to do is become a registered member (it's free, don't worry) and then search our database of TV shows, clicking on checkboxes that correspond to how you'd like to see them released (Season sets, "Best of" releases, or individual episodes).

Not sure if anyone will care, but after years of waiting this extremely short series will be released on DVD in the US sometime this year. From that age of this topic you can see its been a very long time coming. Here is the cover art that has just been released:

Oh good. If it's semi-cheap, I'll buy it.
Nothing goes past that freaky girl with no bottom jaw complaining all over her friend who has just been spat on by a group of yobbos above them:

Allie, I wouldn't expect it in Australia, but with DVD releases, anything is possible.
In all honesty though, if Warner decide to release this considering its obscurity I'll be incredibly pissed considering they have held back on Gilmore Girls for so long! :grr:

Hey, let's not forget that this is the show that Kerry Packer himself saw the pilot to and personally made sure it didn't air again for over a year.
Maybe he hates Smallville in that same way...
