Who here thinks eating disorders are funny? Yeah, me neither, but that's apparently the comedic inspiration behind this show, which aired for just one season of seven episodes in 2005 (I was going to say 'last year' for a second there  ) on American cable network FX (The Shield, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia).

From TV.com:

[quote:03b96c1e36]Created by and starring Eric Schaeffer ("If Lucy Fell," "Too Something"), "Starved" is, according to the network, "a comedic take on food addiction, which is used as the backdrop to the funny, romantic and personal misadventures of the four characters." Schaeffer will star as a neurotic Wall Streeter living in Brooklyn who's friends with a bulimic cop (Sterling K. Brown, "Brown Sugar"), an overweight writer (Del Pentecost, "Kingdom Hospital") and an anorexic would-be songwriter (Broadway actress Laura Benanti, "Nine"). [/quote:03b96c1e36]

My expectations are not high, but I'll check it out to see what it's like.

Premiere's 11:30pm tonight, on Seven.

No one gave this a shot last week? It's not [i:89d04da815]too[/i:89d04da815] bad. The first ep at least was mildly amusing, but nothing to write home about.
