Did anyone else catch this last night? I let my tape of Nip/Tuck run longer so I'd see what it was like.

It wasn't bad. I didn't mind it, anyway; sort of struck me as a New Zealand version of Shameless. Took a little getting used to the tone of the show, (not to mention those accents :P ) but I laughed a couple of times. Will tune in next week.

Surprised that Nine are showing this though, and it a relatively friendly timeslot too. Seemed to me would be more at home on SBS, but whatever...

I didn't watch it, but I've seen bits and pieces of it when I went to New Zealand a few weeks ago. It was alright, not my cup of tea though.

On again tonight @ 10:30pm. I kinda enjoyed the first ep; see what the second ep is like. :)

All Nine (Nip/Tuck, OF, The Wire) and SBS (South Park, Oz) for me tonight. :)

I seen bits and pieces of this show, thought it was really good, had a bit of a laugh. Gee the things that family does and that was only one ep!! Does anyone know if this is popular in NZ?
Shows I'm loving The Bill, Burn Notice, Supernatural.

There's a certain indescribale charm about this show.

Loved in tonight's ep what Loretta said after she lost her virginity:

"Why the [i:1c0808ff94]hell[/i:1c0808ff94] would anybody want to do that?"

The only reason nine are showing it in such a ok timeslot is so it can fill their Australian drama quota... I KNOW ITS NOT AUSTRALIAN.. but thats what everyone at the aussie drama associan or whatever they are, are up in arms about, nine trying to use this to fill it. i dont know whether they are actually going to get away with it or not though, i read it in an article somewhere i think it might have beeen on this site cant remember.

Is that serious Cherry? It is an NZ show isn't it? That isn't Australian content...

Channel 9 probably made a minimal donation to the production costs so that it can be classified as "Australian".
Modest to the top.

Not really fussed as to why Nine are showing it, just happy that they are. At least they picked a half-way decent program to try and pass off as "Australian" rather than whatever else there is that airs in New Zealand, which I'm going to go ahead and presume is crap. :P

And we're getting two ep's a week now, with another ep tomorrow. :)

You took the words right out of my mouth! That's exactly what I said last night when we were watching it. Though I think Shameless leaves it for dead. I was taping that while we watched it - next week I'll be watching Shameless, and taping the others.
