This show started on Monday in the US and apparantly got pretty good ratings.

[quote:16e6071303]Emmy Award winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus ("Seinfeld") stars in THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE, a comedy about a single mother and owner of a "30-minute workout gym" who is the portrait of the new American mom, albeit with some unflinchingly candid points of view. For her, every day is an adventure, but life is made easier due to the fantastic relationship she shares with her ex-husband. However, everything changes when her ex's new, younger girlfriend enters the picture, instantly complicating her life. [/quote:16e6071303]

I was wondering what this was about as I saw it as part of the ratings report for Monday night.
I'm not a fan of Julie Louis-Dreyfus though so I'll pass.

I saw a press release from Channel 9 somewhere on the net and it said that THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE would be premiering sometime later this year on Channel Nine.

Kinda like how they were going to show "Listen Up" huh? Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it.

I'll check it out if it ever screens here. Unlike aliasfanjay, I quite like JLD. Especially liked her in Curb. :)

It may well yet. Its done well in its second week. JLD may have finally found a post-Seinfeld series that works for her - and her audience. :P

Im interested to see if this show will break the 'Seinfeld curse', its about time one of them had a show that gets to a second season.

I guess JLD is to you what Sarah Jessica Parker is to me- incredibly annoying.

I'm not that much of a fan of SJP either - must be the three name syndrome!

Yeah for some reason I can't stand SJP. I used to be a big fan of Seinfeld so ill give this show a try when/if it airs on Nine. I watched a few episodes of Jason Alexander's "Listen Up" and it wasn't bad but nothing all that great.
