Best known as the co-founder, guitarist, bassist, and co-songwriter of Steely Dan, Becker’s cause of death has not been announced yet though sources are citing an “undisclosed illness”.

really bummed about that, he was great in those roles. Scorsese is reuniting with De Niro and Pesci for 'The Irishman' and would have loved to see him in it also. thats 3 deaths this year I can think of that were related to surgery.

"now go home and get your f**ken shine box!!"

I don't know if anyone else has ever heard of this band, but here we go:

Grant Hart, drummer and singer for influential 80s trio Hüsker Dü has died at the age of 56 after a battle with cancer. The news was confirmed early this morning by Hart’s longtime friend and former Hüsker Dü bandmate Bob Mould, who took to Facebook to issue a lengthy, heartfelt statement about Hart’s passing and the journey that took them from a chance meeting in a St. Paul, Minnesota record store to becoming one of the most influential bands to emerge from the 1980s’ punk and alternative scenes.
