Going in Style (2017)

watched this Zach Braff directed remake, and it's not bad. I wanted to like it more and didn't laugh a whole lot. felt a little flat, saw it with my parents and they both liked it more then me. I've pretty much forgotten the funny gags/lines. but remembered it was fun at least.

Yes, my partner said Richard Wilkins gave it a bad review. That's why he didn't rush to see it. We both really enjoyed it, it was a bit different to all the other out in space films.

yeah the trailers didn't show everything, there's more to it in the movie and the trailers didn't spoil it. what was the point of having Andy Garcia there?! for 2 seconds

Rules Don't Apply

this came out in America late last year, we are only just getting it now. surprised it even got a cinema release here anyway, it bombed at the US box office. I believe if they released it a month earlier it might have done better. although the movie isn't all that great, it's very choppy and uneven and it's a little too long. it's a different version of Howard Hughes then we saw in the Aviator, not even sure if the story is true. there's a lot of celeb cameos of older actors, they are crammed in there. I liked the second trailer but that's the best version of the movie, if you've seen that you've seen the movie... the more important parts anyway. it could have been better but I didn't like the lead young actor, he's just got a mean angry face. Warren did fine in the movie, but the movie is forgettable.

What was Lal La Land like. I really have no interest in seeing it, but would be interested to know what you thought?
