Superhero Hype wrote:Colossus to be Recast for Deadpool Movie

Fresh off the heels of a casting breakdown found earlier, “X-Men” cast member Daniel Cudmore has confirmed on Twitter that he will not be reprising the role of Colossus in the upcoming Deadpool film.

Cudmore made his debut as the character in X2: X-Men United and appeared in X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past. This isn’t the only bit of “X-Men” recasting going on at Fox as the roles of Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Storm were all recast with younger actors for the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse.

Ryan Reynolds will lead the film as the titular Merc with a Mouth and he is joined by T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein and Gina Carano as the mutant Angel Dust, a member of the Morlocks.

Tim Miller is set to helm the movie from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Deadpool is currently scheduled for a release on February 12, 2016.

Superhero Hype wrote:Morena Baccarin Joins Deadpool as Female Lead

The Hollywood Reporter brings word that “Homeland,” “Firefly” and “Gotham” actress Morena Baccarin has joined the cast of 20th Century Fox’s long awaited Deadpool feature film as the female lead and romantic interest of the title character. Baccarin was previously-reported as being one of six actresses that were testing for the role.

She’s joined by Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth in addition to T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein and Gina Carano. The film will also feature the mutant Colossus, though Daniel Cudmore has confirmed he will not appear as the character.

Tim Miller is set to direct the movie from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Deadpool is currently scheduled for a release on February 12, 2016.

Superhero Hype wrote:T.J. Miller Confirms He Will Play Weasel in Fox’s Deadpool

Following a bit of a tease yesterday, comedian T.J. Miller has confirmed on Twitter that he will be playing the role of Weasel in Twentieth Century Fox’s upcoming Deadpool movie.

Created by Fabian Nicieza and Joe Madureira, Weasel has served as Deadpool’s friend, sidekick, and arms dealer in the source material since his debut in 1993. He would later go on to be an enemy of the Merc with a Mouth as the character “The House.”

Set to appear alongside Miller are Ryan Reynolds in the title role along with Ed Skrein, Gina Carano, and Morena Baccarin.

Deadpool is actually the debut of the new timeline with Jennifer Laurence confirming that "Apocalypse" is the end of the "First Class" trilogy with her not returning for a sequel. There will be a time jump to current day 2016 with this film.

Superhero Hype wrote:Morena Baccarin Confirmed as Copycat in Deadpool!

It’s finally chimichanga time for 20th Century Fox’s X-Men franchise spinoff Deadpool, as production begins in Vancouver on the feature film starring Ryan Reynolds as the “merc with a mouth.” Hot on the heels of this morning’s reveal that T.J. Miller will be playing Weasel comes confirmation that Morena Baccarin will be playing “Vanessa,” who is almost certainly the comics’ Vanessa Geraldine Carlysle, also known as the shapeshifting mutant Copycat. Baccarin herself made the reveal via Twitter.

Created by Fabian Nicieza and Joe Madureira, Copycat made her comic book debut in the same issue as Deadpool, “New Mutants” #98, although fans didn’t know it at the time. The shapeshifting former love of Deadpool was secretly infiltrating X-Force disguised as Domino with a mission to kill the mutant team’s leader, Cable. It wasn’t until several years later, during Marvel’s “Flashback Month,” that Copycat’s full origin story was revealed in the pages of “Deadpool” #-1.

Also starring Ed Skrein and Gina Carano, Deadpool will also feature the mutant Colossus, though Daniel Cudmore has confirmed he will not appear as the character.

Tim Miller is set to direct the movie from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Deadpool is currently scheduled for a release on February 12, 2016.

It's R-rated!! I know it's April fools but this is Deadpool we're talking about! ;)

Saved by the Bell jokes. Totally funny!

Double confirmation from Reynolds and one other:

@VancityReynolds February 12th. There will be blood. Guns. F-bombs. And graphic, expertly lit French Unicorn sex. #deadpoolRatedR @deadpoolmovie #Aprilpools

@RhettReese - All props for the Deadpool rating go to the good people at Fox, who bravely decided that the fans deserved something different! THANK YOU!

April Fools is just a part of the marketing for this film so take this news as an exception to the rule. It's definitely true. 8-)

just saw this.

as expected, it's a fun, funny action comic book movie. as you might expect from the trailers, its violent, rude and crude and self references real life. like say celebrities involved with X-Men movies, but no cameo from Wolverine but Hugh Jackman does make an appearence in some shape or form. there's a Stan Lee cameo, wasn't expecting it to show up where it did. Deadpool would break the fourth wall by speaking to the viewers. oh, you'll wanna stay till the end credits finish.

it's was a good movie, and a second is being written. I didn't love it as much as I hoped but still liked it.
