First pic of Lex Luthor on previous page.

Collider wrote:Plot Details of BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Revealed

Hot on the heels of this morning’s reveal of Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we’ve got a small breakdown of the film’s central conflict. Why are Batman and Superman embroiled in a fight? Well, Eisenberg may have more than a little something to do with it. Director Zack Snyder‘s mega movie doesn’t open for another solid year but Badass Digest details how this film differs from The Dark Knight Returns (which has Superman working for the government and gives Batman the advantage over him):

In Batman v Superman Superman is no lackey of the government; if anything many of the world’s governments distrust the guy. But it is Superman who goes to Gotham and starts the confrontation… at the behest of Lex Luthor. And unlike The Dark Knight Returns, Superman comes out swinging, pulverizing the Batmobile with one punch. Why would Superman do Lex Luthor’s bidding? What is Lex hoping to accomplish? That would be spoiling. But know that when the fight is over, Batman will be able to point to Superman and say, “He started it!”

That “he started it” business could make things exceptionally hard on Superman considering the fact that his last big brawl in Metropolis involved a considerable amount of collateral damage. While I wasn’t a huge fan of Man of Steel, I have to wonder if this movie is a narrative course correction (if not an aesthetic one).

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens on March 25, 2016 and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Holly Hunter, Scoot McNairy and Jeremy Irons alongside the aforementioned closely shorn Jesse Eisenberg.

Interesting. Lex is manipulating Superman in some way. :|

It's definitely a Superman sequel with Batman on the side. Awesome! Can't wait for a clearer version next week!

There was hints of this theme throughout the trailer as well:

that was awesome 8-) a real different look to Batman.

but if it is more of a Superman movie with Batman thrown in, it should be called 'Superman v Batman'

You're right. Tonally it's a Batman film but the story itself belongs to Superman. Lex Luthor is the main villain behind the scenes causing all this trouble. ;)

What if "Man of Steel" was in colour?

Looks much better. But for this film I would have been happy if they met somewhere in the middle in terms of colour grading.

Superhero Hype wrote:Frank Miller Returns to Batman with The Dark Knight III: The Master Race

DC Entertainment announced today that Frank Miller will return to the world of his iconic “The Dark Knight Returns” with brand new third chapter. “The Dark Knight III: The Master Race” will serve as the conclusion to a trilogy started in 1986 with “The Dark Knight Returns” and continued in the 2001-2002 follow-up series “Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again.”

Miller will be joined by acclaimed writer Brian Azzarello (“100 Bullets,” “Joker,” “Wonder Woman”) on the eight-issue comic book periodical, to be published twice a month under the DC Comics imprint. Marking the 30th anniversary of “The Dark Knight Returns” original series, this periodical is slated for publication beginning in late Fall 2015.

“Batman remains my favorite comic book hero and a sequel to ‘Dark Knight’ is going to be daunting,” says Miller, “but we’ll do our best.”

“We are thrilled to have Frank back home at DC writing Batman,” say Dan DiDio and Jim Lee, co-publishers for DC Entertainment. “The story he and Brian have crafted is an astounding and triumphant conclusion to this seminal body of work which influenced and shaped generations of readers and creators alike.”

According to Azzarello, “It’s been an amazing experience collaborating with Frank these past six months. I think we have an epic story that these characters truly deserve.”

Artists for the project have yet to be announced, but you can check out a teaser image below:

Thought this is relevant since the first comic "The Dark Knight Returns" was used as inspiration for this film.
