heard about this a while ago but only now things are getting started on it -

Hot Tub Time Machine helmer doing Bad Santa 2

Steve Pink, the “Hot Tub Time Machine” and “Accepted” director who at one stage was involved in the long-gestating reboot of “Fletch”, has been tapped to direct the sequel to Billy Bob Thornton starrer “Bad Santa”, Deadline reports.

Pink, who has been spending his days directing TV the last few years, has met with the approval of Dimension films, star Thornton and no doubt the cosy lingerie outfit worn by Lauren Graham.

Look, I like “Bad Santa”, I think it’s perfectly amusing enough… but my step-mother (mind you, she’s the same age as me! Nerrrr shuddyup!) seems to think it’s the bee’s knees. Which reminds me, I’ve never even seen knees on bees… so what’s so great about ‘em!?

loved the first one and can't wait for this!

Thanks for that cyborg, that's hilarious! So good to see the boy in it still and all grown up, the dwarf and good old Billy Bob.
Can't wait to see it.
It looks like they haven't messed with the format too much either.

I watch it every Christmas and every time I laugh throughout, Thurman interacting with Willie is the best!!

here's another trailer with different scenes and alternate dialogue -

I will be seeing this on opening day that's for sure!

can I fix you a sandwich?

just got back from seeing it, I was disappointed.

a few small chuckles, but that's it. the original is hilarious and I can watch it every Christmas and lol but I can't say the same with this one. the audience wasn't laughing much either, and a couple of girls were checking their phones.

the first one I love because of Thuman ans Willie's interactions with each other, Billy Bob's reactions are priceless. also the kids on his lap "fragglestick car" "the f**k is that?" and also Bernie Mac and John Ritter. but this one I guess was too different, would have prefered it to be another mall somewhere else instead of charity stealing. the dialogue was the same as to expect but was a little flat/off at the same time.

go see it but be warned its not as good as the first. but I guess that's to be expected, Zoolander 2 and Dumb and Dumber 2 weren't great either. I guess after so many years later for all comedies they just can't recapture the magic.
