I'll follow suit

I thought I'd give my predictions for next week's massive week of premieres.

DWTS: 1.4m
The Titanic Special: 800k
The Voice: 2.1m - crazy i know but the buzz is absolutely huge.
Logies: 1.1m
Avatar: 600k
Modern Family: 800k
New Girl: 700k

AGT: 1.6m
The Block: 1.2m
The Voice: 1.8m
Revenge: 1.7m

AGT Tue: 1.6m
Rafters: 1.5m
The Block: 1.2m
The Voice: 1.6m

AGT: 1.3m
Titanic: 700k
The Block: 1.3m
Celeb Apprentice: 700k - This show is a reality show full of ex reality celebs. What a joke this show is.
Glee: 600k
Offspring: 1m

The Block: 1.3m
Celeb Apprentice: 700k
Grey's: 700k
Housewives: 500k

Lebts make this prediction, 90% of shows in prime time on TEN will be under 650k. Offspring (due to Asher Keddie winning GOLD) The Biggest Loser and NCIS will be the only highlights.

Wow greysfan, so you're pretty confident that The Voice will not only premiere well but remain a hit, a hit bigger than AGT.

Yep. Very confident indeed. This show has scared me being a Seven fan ever since Nine got the rights to it. The buzz around it is so high. It reminds me about Revenge earlier this year when it was the one show everyone was talking about. The format early on at least is great. People might hate the battle rounds though which i well and truly hate.

One thing i do believe though is Seven and Nine are going to be having similar audience numbers because the crap TEN has on its schedule means more viewers for both networks. Seven has its audience already and i feel they will continue to be with them, Nine will gain viewers and TEN will be in the doldrums.

Mind you i could be completely wrong here  3 different timeslots could hurt the show but we will find out soon enough

I think that in terms of the different timeslots, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Block didn't have a problem with Sunday 6:30 and Weeknights 7:00, so I think it's just the Monday and Tuesday that is a worry.

With this format, I'm just reminded to The X Factor debut back in 2010, when it premiered really underwhelmingly. Plus, I don't know if it's just me but I haven't heard much interest in this show (or at least more interest than any other Post-Easter show). I just find it hard to believe that another singing show can do well in the Australian environment. Let it be clear, I want this show to do well.

One thing's for sure: Ten will do badly next week and possibly during the MasterChef weeks as well.

Okay, another big week for TV but in a different way. This week, it's all about the drops. In Channel Nine's case, the MILLION dollar drop! Get it?! Even me as a fan of The Voice knows that it's gonna drop this week. I just think six 90 minute+ episodes is gonna tire people. But just how much will it drop. Here are my predictions Sunday to Thursday.

Sun:
The Voice: 1.8m
Dancing with the Stars: 1.1m
Beaconsfield: 1.4m
Bones: 900k

Mon:
The Block: 1.3m
The Voice: 1.7m
AGT: 1.3m
Revenge: 1.3m

Tue:
The Block: 1.2m
The Voice: 1.5m
AGT: 1.4m
Rafters: 1.3m

Wed:
The Block: 1.1m
Celebrity Apprentice: 800k/850k
AGT: 1.5m
Titanic: 800k

Thu:
The Block: 1.1m
Celebrity Apprentice: 750k/820k

Here's my take on it. I have included a few shows which i want to highlight. Blind Auditions are still all week so i expect The Voice to continue to be high but slightly down week on week. Mind you it still will crush everything. I think it will take 3 weeks (incl last week) before we see significant changes.

Sunday
The Voice: 2.12m
Dancing with the Stars: 1.14m
Beaconsfield: 1.61m
Bones: 925k
Castle: 750k
Touch: 650k

Monday
The Block: 1.4m
The Voice: 2.21m
Talent: 1.21m
Revenge: 1.22m
Pictures of You: 950k

Tuesday
The Block: 1.3m
The Voice: 2m
Talent: 1.3m
Rafters: 1.3m

Wednesday
The Block: 1.2m
Celebrity Apprentice: 825k/895k
Talent: 1.5m
Titanic: 600k

Thursday
The Block: 1.1m
Celebrity Apprentice: 800k/850k

Dancing With the Stars: 1.4m
Bones: 1.05m
Castle: 825k

The Block: 1.2m
60 Minutes: 1.1m
The Mentalist: 800k
Unforgettable - 500k

The Biggest Loser: 900k
Modern Family: 950k
New Girl: 670k
Touch: 800k

Now even though The Voice has gone down everywhere else with the Battle Rounds i will still predict 2m

The Block 1.4m
The Voice 2.25m
Person of Interest 750k

Australia's Got Talent 1.22m
Revenge 1.31m
Pictures of You 790k

Ten - Everything under 600k except Biggest Loser

Broadcast Television to become extinct by the year 2030

15 or so odd years? Not that far away
