Greysfan, I have a few criticisms to make about your schedule, but don't take them to heart.

-I guess Border Security and The Force can still work on Sunday, but I thought they might be better on Wednesday because of their recent results, plus viewers might be fatigued after Nine's factual hour next year which will probably be CUSTOMS and AFP.

-I think that Desperate Housewives is getting a little weak for 8:30. I can't remember it ever winning its timeslot this year. Criminal Minds has done better in that slot recently.

-Haven't really heard much about Body of Proof. I guess it's worth a try, but wouldn't you put it on a night that is more crime-based. Tuesday is the last night I would premiere a show like that.

-No Ordinary Family at 9:30, greysfan? Are you kidding? Some were expecting it to premiere at 7:30 next year on a weeknight, maybe even Saturday at 6:30. Not sure if Seven would have more World's Strictest Parents ready for February. Seven probably has a lot of factuals prepared at the moment with X Factor and Iron Chef being taken up in the 7:30 slots at the moment.

-I think Amazing Race Australia deserves better than 7:30 Thursday to start with. I know its where US Amazing Race is at the moment, but I don't think they need to be in the same timeslot to retain the loyal Race audience. The australian version is going to attract a lot of new viewers I reckon and should be in one of Seven's high profile slots. I said Sunday 7:30, but the only con about that could be that it might go up against Biggest Loser: Families next year, separating the reality audience. I know that Seven needs a strong Thursday schedule, but Amazing Race Australia might have greater risk of bombing on that night.

Not taking it to heart at all. They are called Mock Schedules for a reason. ;)

However DH has been the one show in the same timeslot since the very beginning. I thought it deserves to stay there. Like i said i don't see a reason to change much. No Ordinary Family has a bit of violence in the show and unfortunately the show isn't rating that well in the US. It had a chance to show us a couple of weeks back when Glee and NCIS were both repeats and it didn't do anything. I like this show but i feel it won't do any good here, just like Heroes and others. It might start well but it will end like those shows did.

I can see where you are coming from though Miller and your schedule shows that. Mine shows what i think will happen. Amazing Race could easily go on any of the 5 major nights but for some reason i feel Thursday needs help.

^stopshopping there is a thread for those types of things here if you are interested. Very interesting schedule there though and it would actually suit one of the digital channels.

I like every aspect of it and i think it could really work. Still think Seven will split Winners and Losers and Rafters for different times of the year but if they don't then imo thats pretty much Seven's ideal schedule.

Do we know yet how long Winners and Losers will be for? If it's going to be a 22 episode season like Rafters always is, then they might have Rafters do 9 eps before Easter, bring in Winners and Losers post-Easter so it has a better chance of success (with the Winter audience), then bring Rafters back for its final 13 eps of the year. Of course, with 44 episodes all up between the two shows, they would need to have a few two hour editions (maybe two hour premieres and two hour finales for both shows to fit into the 40 weeks).

Thanks for the feedback greysfan and MillerT2. If this schedule was used, I think Seven would do quite well.

I do also think that Seven should split the year with Packed to the Rafters and Winners & Losers, but Winners & Losers would probably have greater success following Rafters.

I've been doing some thinking since i last posted here and obviously Body of Proof doesn't premiere until late March so i have changed my schedule.

Seven February 2011

Sunday

6:30pm Sunday Night
7:30pm Border Security
8:00pm The Force
8:30pm Bones
9:30pm Castle
10:30pm Detroit 1-8-7

Monday

7:30pm My Kitchen Rules
8:30pm Desperate Housewives
9:30pm Brothers and Sisters

Tuesday

7:30pm My Kitchen Rules
8:30pm Packed to The Rafters
9:30pm Parenthood

Wednesday

7:30pm Conviction Kitchen Australia
8:30pm Criminal Minds
9:30pm Law and Order: Los Angeles

Thursday

7:30pm Outsourced
8:00pm How i Met You're Mother
8:30pm Grey's Anatomy
9:30pm Private Practice

I have also come up with a schedule that i want Seven to use. The above one is what i think they will do but this one is what i want them to do.

How i want Seven

Sunday

6:30pm Sunday Night
7:30pm The Amazing Race Australia
8:30pm Bones
9:30pm Castle
10:30pm Detroit 1-8-7

Monday

7:30pm Border Security
8:00pm Highway Patrol
8:30pm Criminal Minds
9:30pm Law and Order: Los Angeles

Tuesday

7:30pm Australia's Got Talent
8:30pm Packed to The Rafters
9:30pm Grey's Anatomy
10:30pm Private Practice

Wednesday

7:30pm No Ordinary Family
8:30pm Desperate Housewives
9:30pm Brothers and Sisters
10:30pm Parenthood

The question i always ask myself is WHY does Seven always have to have Wednesday as Crime night? Why can't they do something different for a change. Its always been this way so why not try something.

Thursday

7:30pm Better Homes and Gardens
8:30pm How I Met Your Mother
9:00pm 30 Rock
9:30pm Parks and Recreation
10:00pm Family Guy
10:30pm American Dad

Friday

7:30pm LIVE AFL

As much as i like the show i couldn't fit it in my schedule for the other shows i wanted. If i were to put it somewhere it would be Wednesday/Thursday in mine. That's assuming BHG stays on Friday.
