My favourites were Estonia, Iceland and Switzerland. Greece I found a bit generic and long-winded.

[quote:06f9d27421="Sherlock Holmes"]...but he only won because of his looks...[/quote:06f9d27421]

Of course he was a hottie ;-) but the song was OK ... he was the favourite from the beginning ...

The telecast was not bad but I am not sure if the SBS commentators did a good enough job but it was at least better than when SBS tried to do the commentary for the first time a number of years ago ... it is a shame that Sir Terry Wogan did not do the commentary but I had heard that he had retired from doing the telecast for UK TV as well.

Oh and Gayle ... from my perspective there was certainly some decent eye candy this year ;-) :-P

Surprised we don't have a topic already....but if i am wrong simply delete this i did a search!

So this year its in germany, Semi Final 1 has already taken place, and have no idea who has gone through.

Semi Final 2 is tomorrow night on SBS followed by the final Sunday night SBS 7:30pm AEST

PLEASE NO SPOILERS!!!!!

As the semi finals have already been decided, I would appreciate it if no one ruins it for those who are interested or have favorites.

Same goes for the final, I don't believe its being broadcast live so we must suffer, also please avoid watching the news if need be! They usually spoil it for you.

I sound like a forum Nazi now!

Other than that I am looking forward to it, England also have a pretty good entry!

Romania and Azerbaijan are my favourites so far, whether they get through or not I got no idea!!

Suffice it to say this event is always on my must watch list and it is one of the few events that goes on a blackout list. No TV, radio, or news papers at all ... I want it all to be a surprise ...

This year I have helped organise an event:

Eurovision 2011 - Hello Dusseldorf, This is Sydney calling.

Starting at 4pm at The Oxford Art Factory

At this stage given all the highlights of songs that could make the final 25 I am not too sure who I want to win ... maybe this year will be the England's turn ... we live in hope.

I can't believe they still run this. It's actually quite a humourorous program. That bad it's good!

It was, and still is taken seriously in the sixties, at least by the music industry and fans of bubble-gum music, but it never ever was good. :P
