I do enjoy watching this show. Unfortunately I am working (sorry for swearing :<| ) nights this year so will miss it. I will be getting the news reports on winners, losers and outrageous, but will not put up any spoilers.

Enjoy the show peeps :< ooX

Uk got a pretty big roar when they were showing their song!

We could get a winner! But most likely they will get last as usual, I also expect the citizens of the UK dont expect anything more, and take a higher result in their stride,

However Ireland seem to be a huge dark horse this year!

^^^ Yes, I was just reading on my nieces FB wall; her friends (in the UK) are all talking about Ireland.

Spoiler: show
azerbaijan win eurovision, Italy 2nd followed by Sweden, despite uk and Ireland and some other countries being crowd favorites and picked to win, they got no where near the top spot, bit disappointing really as both had really good entries, yet the winner was quite good!

And for once it wasn't clear cut until the last 5 or 6 countries revealed their votes!

:? never heard of that place before.

The people on tv were saying Ireland was robbed.

I didn't see or hear any of it.
Although, I did see a bit with the people with the tall garden gnome hats!

The coverage finished on SBS just moments ago. The winners for this year was Denmark. SBS' coverage was as good as previous years. Julia Zemaro and Sam Pang work well togethor.

I personally think Sweden did one of the best jobs in a while. The host was great and i was really happy with the result. The top 3 really were the standouts of the night although Iceland imo underperformed. Should have finished a lot higher. Also the top 5 nations who get exemptions need to do more but then again when have the UK cared about Eurovision. I must say though seriously Romania? I couldn't stop laughing and he scored a fair few points. Crazy that  It was crazy hard to stay away from everywhere to not spoil the result but i did it.

I must say last years winner Loreen is a great artist. I like her new song too.

Looking forward to Denmark next year and of course we have that connection with Princess Mary so will probably get another shout out next year.

Talking about the winner for a second, is it a coincidence that the last 2 winners have won barefoot?

Two things ...

1.) You are very lucky that I had an internet blackout on Sunday so I could watch the final and be surprised at the winner ... :)

2) I was surprised that Ireland got the points that they did and if memory serves me I think that Ireland do not get an invitation to compete in 2014.

Australia's Jessica Mauboy is to appear in the Semi-Final in the Semi-Finals in a few hours time. Her appearance I think is included to show that the awards are broadcast outside of Europe and how popular the ceremony is in the world.

The Grand Final should be airing next Sunday night, hosted by Julia Zemaro and Sam Pang.

Tonight: 2030 - 2240: Semi-Final 1
Saturday: 2030 - 2240: Semi-final 2
Sunday: 1930 - 2315: Grand Final

For a bit of variety the San Remo Song Festival is on Saturday 1300 - 1500 as well.
