Watching it at the moment. Not bad :)

And just realised for myself that the two 200,000$ cases must be because of this show starting, mind you a new show will always get in the way before a new tactic from a current show on my Box.

I'd like to know who wins the money, the person who answers the question at $1000 gets a $1000? The person who answers and gets $10,000 answer correct gets $10,000?. Or is it after everyone has been on and one person is left, are they left with the money? :? :? :eh:

EDIT: However i'd like the 8:30 Original Millionaire to be back, its still on in the US after several years. Just like with 2 Million Dollar Deal or No Deal.

Yeah, 1999-Present according to Wikipedia.
I'd like to see the US Version, the host is heaps better, and some of the americans on that show are just plain dumb!

It's on different channels in different cities across America. For instance in New York it airs at 12:30pm on WABC. In Las Vegas 7:30pm and 11:30am,Boston WCVB at 12:30pm, Detroit at 3:30pm and so on and so on.

It airs in over 100 Cities at different times on different channels.

Obviously the prime time factor is irrelevant considering all the times stated are local times to the relevant city's listing.

Ok, I was fortunate or perhaps unfortunate to catch a few minutes of this.

First, I must admit the questions were really interesting, a little on the easy side though eg. the Broadband one, don't these contestants watch the news/read the newspapers, kicking off in Tassie was one of the biggest stories. The only one I couldnt pick was the Dido one.

But then it return to the drivel we have come to know from Eddie. There was 10 mins left for 2 questions, he started asking the contestant, 'Tell me about yourself' and then he speaks to the contestant's husband. That is when I started to channel surf.

Finally, how come the top prize dropped from 1M to 100 or 200k?

[quote:5f5d58f004="Rich"]Finally, how come the top prize dropped from 1M to 100 or 200k?[/quote:5f5d58f004]From a little I saw of an episode I believe when a contestant gets one wrong they leave the seat and the top prize drops down one level. So each time an answer is incorrect it would drop another level.

At least that was the intrepretation I got during an ad-break on Deal.

If a contestant gets a question wrong, they are eliminated, the cash prize drops a level, so each time a contestant is eliminated it goes 1m,$250,000,$100,000,$50,000,$20,000 and then $1000.

If a contestant passes, they arent eliminated and the cash prize doesnt a drop a level and they go back on the queue of contestants still in the game.

Anyone seen the two little cracks Eddie had at Deal?
One a couple of weeks ago about not finding $250,000 in a briefcase and then one about being stuck in the gutter with Andrew O Keefe in Chapel St.

That's an alarming drop! They missed out on 500k  , but you wouldnt expect more from game shows.

Well it's been the four weeks a.k.a The 20 Million Dollar Month that this show was advertised under the banner of.

Anyone still see it staying on after this week or next week?
