it's been 19 months since the last post in this topic

Obviously, Hot Seat must be working, as it's still on the air.

I like this show, as we get to answer the questions within a certain time (ie - being quicker than Millionaire)

tonight's episode of Hot Seat had the Million Dollar Question. The contestant didn't answer it correctly.

I work most of the time the show is on, but when i do have the certain days off, i watch the show.

This is probably from a few months ago and maybe Nine wanted to save it for an important night.

I did notice the advertising for that episode tried to imply that the million went off ... was never fooled for a moment ... I have probably watched about half an hour all up of the show.

i still watch this show as often as i can. I find it a good format.

The only downside is Eddie's help to the contestants. When he knows an answer, and the contestant doesn't and chooses another, he continually asks "are you sure? / have another look / you can pass if you would like / emphasises the correct" etc.

When they lock in the correct answer, they generally lock in the answer immediately. So it seems.

But i still enjoy it overall, to see how many questions i actually know or not

Hot Seat has been airing one hour episodes of late, to match Seven's The Chase that goes for an hour.

As much as I like Hot Seat, I am not liking this new version. 20-odd minutes of Fastest Finger First just sems a little too boring and unneeded.
