I have often wondered about my favourite TV shows and why they were cancelled or taken off the air. If anyone could give me info on these tv series that would be great.

Was the nanny cancelled? Or did they actually finish the series?
Was roswell cancelled? Or did they actually finish the series?
Was third rock from the sun cancelled? Or did they actually finish the series?

Also add your non existant anymore tv shows here to see if anyone knows why your shows ended...

Roswell was cancelled, but they did finish the series. It was a very happy (and to me, teary) ending. I loved it. It finished at season 3, which should be out on DVD in the next few months!

CC was a great character wasnt she. It was great that there were so many interesting characters on the show and they didnt just rely on one of two to keep it interesting!

Actually, CBS and the producers of "The Nanny" mutually agreed to ending the show after a decline in the shows ratings during season 5. However, ratings in season 6 were that bad, the finale was brought forward by about 8 weeks, just so the show could be off the schedule! As a result there were major continuity problems with the sixth season. The remaining episodes were burnt-off in summer
