I'd been enjoying the last few ep's of Running Wilde that were trickling out. Shame about that show.

Otherwise...yawn.

Definetly will miss B&S, but season 5 is a real let down, and the costs of the show were a factor to axe it. Oh well at least we got the dvds. :) Can't say I have ever heard of those other shows. But geez that's alot!! It's like axing fest!

Slightly dated or just missing a few even - Seems quite a list, but with the US shows that's generally to be expected, or as per usual, given the amount of networks and programs they have.

'The Event' is listed twice and shows like 'Pan Am' and 'Allen Gregory' - which haven't even screened here (yet?) have already been cancelled.

http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/12/13/fox-terra-nova-raising-hope-still-toss-ups-for-renewal-or-cancellation/113573/

I'm glad 'Fringe' is still defying the odds, but it can only push it's luck so far. If the American viewing audience doesn't have the taste for Fringe anymore, then they simply don't deserve any more of it. Hopefully they can tie things up well, before the 'inevitable' cancellation, which will surely come sooner, rather than later.

TBDH - Seems the only decent content is being churned out or existing on America's cable networks, like 'HBO,' 'Showtime,' 'UPN' (For Star Trek), 'SyFy' and 'AMC' (The latter I never even heard of till 'The Walking Dead.' They are both producing the quality programs AND sticking with them. Just personally, 'The New Outer Limits,' 'Stargate Series,' 'Oz,' 'Deadwood,' 'The Wire,' 'Game of Thrones,' 'The Walking Dead,' 'later Star Trek series' at the least and then there's other acclaimed programs most people know like 'The Sopranos,' and 'Mad Men.' Heck 'HBO' even screens the odd Aussie series like 'Summer Heights High' and helped co-produce Chris Lilley's follow up, 'Angry Boys' - although latter had mixed reviews.

The usual stand out ABC aside, there is still the odd quality on FTA, both in the US and here, so you can never overlook the commercial networks entirely. Though with Channel Nine and Seven, I've been overlooking them for quite some time (I'm not a big 'Underbelly' viewer). In regards to here, it's just a matter of how much they persist with 'original programming,' which ebbs and flows it seems.

BTW From the unclear list, I presume Gruen will be back in some form - that show has been a good ratings draw for the ABC since it's debut. I doubt 'At Home with Julia' will be back, that always seemed a one off, but you never know, ratings are the bottom line, but I presume it's ratings weren't that crash hot anyway? The Chaser boys should be back in some form, you'd expect. Crownies was well received though I'm not sure how it rated, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it return?

Good News Week, I have no idea of the ratings, but that's still a steady and well identifiable show, so I'd be surprised if it were dropped early, unless Paul and co choose to end it or take on another project.

For me the only disappointment i had this year with axed shows was Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, City Homicide and Brothers and Sisters. The rest of the axed shows i either didn't watch or if they were an older series didn't really get into.

Axed: Slide Show

No chance of a return for SlideShow on Seven this year with confirmation today the show has not been renewed.

Spoiler: show
The confirmation means host Grant Denyer is now without a show, after quitting Million Dollar Minute in December and was replaced by Simon Reeve.

The Sunday Telegraph speculates his future at Seven is unclear, alleging he may be out of favour due to “bizarre antics and backstage tantrums.”

An earlier press interview in which he said he “never, ever wanted to be a game show host” is also said to have disappointed execs.

Last month TV Tonight readers voted him “Most Over Exposed” personality of 2013.

This weekend Denyer returns to competitive racing in a Ford Focus GTC Touring car at Bathurst, for the first time since 2011.

“I have been living in Bathurst for most of the last 4 weeks, and running the Mountain every day,” he said. “I haven’t driven competitively for a number of years, however have done plenty of laps around here, and feeling pretty fit, so I am pumped about the opportunity to do another long distance event in such a unique Australian built car,”” he said.
