It was announced today that Channel Ten will take the rights to 20th Century Fox's programming output from the Seven Network, effective as of next year. Seven sold the deal to Ten to receive money to finance the next AFL rights deal.

This means that Ten could pick up the following shows from Seven:
24
My Name Is Earl
Prison Break
Family Guy
American Dad
and several others.

What do you think?

Personally, I'd be glad to see FG and AD on Ten.....they already have Simpsons and Futurama.

That's good but also bad for 24 fans.

I'd hate for 10 to do to 24 what they did with NYPD Blue & The Shield - eventually giving them late night slots.

hmmm...stupid seven it seems....giving ten this deal could mean TEN making a giant leap into winning occasionally.

This is not the first time that Ten and 20th Century Fox have worked together.......they had a very successful deal in the early 90s, that saw Ten pick up shows like The Simpsons, The X Files and Beverly Hills 90210.

20th Century Fox are in a creative slump recently and all the big action is from Disney (BV) such as lost, DH, CIC.

So this doesn't effect 7's big shows.

You're spot on VMars.....that's probably why Seven gave Ten the Fox deal rather than the Disney one.

They would have to be lunatic to part with BV, those shows and DWTS has been 7's saviour.
