Boring isn't it considering their hour of news and public affairs not long after that too (1.5 hours via WIN). At least the digital-only channels are there with general entertainment offerings. O<>

Seven has reverted back to ''30 Minute News'', to fit in The Price is Right into the schedule. Nine remains an hour long, until they copy Seven. lol

Seven reverted to the one hour news later in the year (2012) when Price got the axe.

And the latest news going around at the moment is that Sunrise's Mel Doyle (who recently announced she is leaving the program soon) will be the host of the 4.30 News. Not sure when she'll begin her new role though.

I think we should rename this topic to "Afternoon News"? Too many timeslot changes over the years. lol.

Seven News has moved to 4pm. Mel Doyle and Matthew White hosted it together for a few months. White left the show quite recently to move to Channel Ten. Doyle I think is the sole host at the moment.

Nine News now airs at 4.15pm, finishing up close to 5.30pm (Hot Seat usually starts minutes prior towards 5.30pm). Nine also airs Nine News Now from 3pm til 4.15pm, which is also another rebranded news service.

ABC News Afternoons aired at 5.30pm until around a month ago. It moved to 5pm since.

Channel Ten has remained at 5pm for some time now...........

News news and more news....
We usually watch our news on Nine at 6pm. We're also on the internet at various times throughout the day so usually hit a couple of news sites then.

Seven has The Daily Edition at 2pm, which seems to be an extension of The Morning Show complete with advertorials :X Nine has news for two and a half hours from 3pm - overkill  Ten's 5pm bulletin is pretty good - we will sometimes watch that if we have to go out in the evening.

that was quick. Thanks for changing the name of this topic Jayel.

I personally think that there is too much news on our screens. Nine has News from 3pm til 5.30pm, then half an hour later, the 6pm news. Personally, I would cut the 4.15 news.

Seven has The Daily Edition which has news in it, but at least there's a break within that and the 4.30 news (being The Chase).
