Its that time of year again. The Emmy Awards are coming and here are the Nominations. Downton Abbey scored big time which is huge for a UK drama but i must say a lot of snubs this year. No Revenge, Once, Sandra Oh and Lea Michelle just to name a few. What do you think about Cable domination of the drama. There are a lot of others snubbed too.

Surprisingly i am happy with Ashley Judd getting a nod for Missing.

Thats possibly the worst nomination list ive seen. No nominations for The Killing or Boss? and only one for Damages (Glenn Close)? How do the 3 best drama series of the past 12 months get snubbed? Im truly stumped by that. And really no Best Comedy for Parks & Recreation? I can honestly say this is the first year where the emmys dont matter cause more than likely whoever wins will not be truly deserving. Except for maybe Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad, but i somehow doubt he'll win. Another year of Mad Men and Modern Family triumphs no doubt.

Boss and The Killing are both low-rating shows, the former being on a network that most wouldn't have access to.

Likely why neither received any Emmy attention.

Meh. Seems like the same as every year. Some good; mostly awful.

Yay for some Veep love, though Anna Chlumsky was robbed. And I like Modern Family a lot, but really? It doesn't need an entire category to itself.

Would have been nice to see Mayim Bialik win for Big Bang Theory but apparently the people who pick the winners think Julie Bowen deserved it more. Julie's pretty good but Mayim just outpips her a little, she is so excellent as Amy Farrer Fowler.
Tony: "I'm not getting any reception. How about you?"
Ziva: "I'm braless"
Tony: "I noticed that earlier. But on your phone, they're called 'bars'"

NCIS :)

Biggest snub of 2013 is Monica Potter from Parenthood if you ask me. You decide on what is yet again a cable dominated list of nominations. So thrilled for Kerry Washington from Scandal though. Great season 2. Still think the categories should be split into cable/broadcast or short seasons/long seasons but i doubt we will see that anytime soon.

Biggest snub from cable is obviously The Walking Dead. I was very very surprised it didn't feature at all.

I agree! If network shows want to be nominated they need to step up their quality. As far as im concerned theres alot of Cable drama nominations that missed out. So far only network comedies are worth watching half the time.

Very pleased with the 17 nominations for AHS: Asylum, its one of my favourite mini series. Hope Breaking Bad will finally win best drama series but i wont be dissapointed if House Of Cards manages to win.

Meh. Not much there to get excited about, but Veep was on fire in season 2, and really glad to see recognition for Tony Hale and Anna Chlumsky. Chlumsky in particular has been wonderful.

But yeah...still too many of the same old, same old.
