This is a new thread for the U.S. series [b:a7a859dbdf]Criminal Minds[/b:a7a859dbdf].

The series will premiere in Australia next year on 7.

[quote:a7a859dbdf]CRIMINAL MINDS is a psychological suspense thriller about an elite squad of profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. Leading the team is Special Agent Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin), the FBI's top behavioral analyst. The experts on Gideon's team include Special Agent Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), a classically misunderstood genius whose social IQ is as low as his intellectual IQ is high; Special Agent Aaron Hotch (Thomas Gibson), a family man who is able to gain people's trust and unlock their secrets; Special Agent Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), an expert on obsessional crimes; and Elle Greenaway (Lola Glaudini), an agent with a background in sexual offenses who is motivated by her own unsolved assault years before. Each member of the team brings his or her own area of expertise to the table as they pinpoint predators' motivations and identify their emotional triggers in the attempt to stop them.[/quote:a7a859dbdf]

Looks like this show will premiere in July on Seven. The network is running a competition that has something to with the lead actor in the show. Here's a bit from the Seven website :

[quote:1fc1c05fea]Premiering July on Channel Seven is the hit US drama series, “Criminal Minds”, starring Emmy winner, Mandy Patinkin (“Chicago Hope”). Patinkin plays Special Agent Jason Gideon, the leader of an elite squad of FBI profilers who analyse the country’s most twisted serial criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. [/quote:1fc1c05fea]

Seven look to be promoting the series with the tagline - "to catch a killer you have to think like one".

Seven have given the show a page on their website. I guess this means they are a little closer to scheduling it. It's only a basic brief site. Here's the link

Ooh, I'll glady watch a show with Inigo Montoya. 8)

And the premise should help greatly with my little side project... :shifty:

Actually, it appears to be the same kind of show I thought [i:aeb1b0f11a]L&O: Criminal Intent[/i:aeb1b0f11a] would be. Still, like CI, I'll keep watching [i:aeb1b0f11a]Criminal Minds[/i:aeb1b0f11a] if I enjoy the characterisation and plotlines. It's got three faces that I recognise anyway. :)

I think this show looks excellent... i'll definetly tune in for the first couple of episodes.

To me it seems to have a touch of silence of the lambs, the whole understanding the serial killer angle.

should be good
