It currently has no release or scheduled release in the USA, until they get news we will most likely hear nothing regarding the show.

Has Stargate SG.1 ever been release (here or O/S) in DVD cube like Star trek. Multipule seasons sold together that sort of thing?

Can someone please let me know as soon as Season 2 of Arrested Development is released in US. I just know I will miss it.

Stargate will never be released in those cubes as they have an enitirely different supplier to the Star Trek franchise.

MGM has released seasons 1 through 7 in 6 Disc box sets.

[quote:9186f3c9f3="aliasfanjay"][quote:9186f3c9f3="bane"]Does anyone know if Macgyver was really popular in Australia? As much as the show used to be payed out and ridiculed, I still thought it always quite popular?

Anyway, my point is I'm trying to figure out why it's taking so long for the season one DVD release. Its been out in America for a while now. :([/quote:9186f3c9f3]

Even if it wasn't hugely popular, it will get a release eventually I imagine. It could be that no one has the rights to distribute it yet. Paramount released it in the US but Sony did in northern Europe according to IMDb.com.
I do keep an eye out for it when I check news, but there has been no word on anything yet.[/quote:9186f3c9f3]

Looks like someone may have been reading posts here Bane because [b:9186f3c9f3]MacGyver[/b:9186f3c9f3] has finally seen some movement. The OFLC has classified it (PG for those that are curious) which means it'll be heading out on DVD very soon.
Even more good news for Smallville fans is that the Season 3 box set of [b:9186f3c9f3]Smallville[/b:9186f3c9f3] has also been classified. Nip/Tuck Season 2 has also been classified too. We should see these released by the end of the year if we are lucky! :D

Also, those who have used empiredvd.com.au much already realise they have combined with videoezydvd.com.au and combined their efforts. The address is www.videoezydvd.com.au but it just looks like empiredvd.com.au did except a yellow theme. The links on the first post have been adjust accordingly.

With The Nanny box set, there is no news on an Australian release yet but the US release will be July 12. There is nothing but rumours on extra's so I'm not going to mention what they are.

Also worth a note on [b:9186f3c9f3]US box set releases[/b:9186f3c9f3] is the equally long awaited release of the complete series of Earth 2 released on DVD. Cover art is below. Just to confirm - [b:9186f3c9f3]THERE IS NOTHING ON AN AUSTRALIAN RELEASE FOR EITHER EARTH 2 OR THE NANNY!!!!![/b:9186f3c9f3] Just in case your forgot.

[quote:dc4b3c0e10="aliasfanjay"]With The Nanny box set, there is no news on an Australian release yet but the US release will be July 12. There is nothing but rumours on extra's so I'm not going to mention what they are.[/quote:dc4b3c0e10]

Not even a couple of days after the news that there was no release date for [b:dc4b3c0e10]The Nanny [/b:dc4b3c0e10]in Australia, the new revamped www.videoezydvd.com.au announces that its up for pre-order for a [b:dc4b3c0e10]July 13th [/b:dc4b3c0e10]release. This is fantastic news for Australian fans.
The cover-art posted earlier has been changed as it lists 24 episode for the first seaosn which is incorrect as it only has 22 episodes. The new cover art is as shown below. The extra's for the disk are as follows:

[quote:dc4b3c0e10]*Audio Commentaries from Fran Drescher (we've been told to expect them on three episodes, including the first and last ones of the season)
*"The Making of The Nanny" - a retrospective with the cast on the first season (this would have to be the extra that both Charles Shaughnessy ("Max") and Benjamin Salisbury ("Brighton") discussed at their respective websites as having participated in).[/quote:dc4b3c0e10]

You can also find the DVD disk art here:

[img:dc4b3c0e10]http://www.mcnally95.com/graphics/news6/TheNanny_S1_Final.jpg[/img:dc4b3c0e10][img:dc4b3c0e10]http://www.mcnally95.com/graphics/news6/TheNanny_S1_Back_Final.jpg[/img:dc4b3c0e10]

www.videoezydvd.com.au has also announced prices for [b:dc4b3c0e10]Ally McBeal [/b:dc4b3c0e10]box sets due for release [b:dc4b3c0e10]July 8[/b:dc4b3c0e10]. Each half set is priced at 41.95. The cover art mimics the R2 release of the sets, so I'm assuming the features will be the same - ie there are none.

Also finally getting a release on [b:dc4b3c0e10]July 13 [/b:dc4b3c0e10]is [b:dc4b3c0e10]Dawson's Creek: Season 3[/b:dc4b3c0e10]. Cover art has differed from the first the US sets with the first two seasons so it will most likely follow suit here as well with the third season.

Searching through www.dvdorchard.com.au, a few TBA dates for shows have been given dates - all of which are July 13 for some reason! The following have a release on this date:

Everybody Loves Raymond: Season 3
The Flintstones: Season 2
Kojak: Season 1
Smallville: Season 3
Nip/Tuck: Season 2

Its all subject to change at the moment, but we'll soon see how realistic these dates are in the near future. Smallville fans should rejoice though for the moment! :D
