interesting move. Kiefer Sutherland's new non Jack Bauer role, although it's hard to see him as anyone else now.

Netflix has signed the rights for new Kiefer Sutherland series Designated Survivor outside the USA.

The first episode, which premiered in the US yesterday, is now available for streaming in Australia.

The series from ABC Studios and The Mark Gordon Company is airing in the US on ABC, meaning new episodes will be available on a weekly basis, rather than the traditional full series ‘binge.’

On the night of the State of the Union, an explosion claims the lives of the President and all members of the Cabinet except for Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Tom Kirkman, who had been named the designated survivor. Kirkman is immediately sworn in as President, unaware that the attack is just the beginning of what is to come

I'm in the US at the moment, watched it live on their ABC channel. it's ok, don't know where they can go with it, don't see it lasting long. I'm loosing interest already, the only way I would continue to watch is if they do a Air Force One and the president (Kiefer) takes out the terrorists Jack Bauer style.

interesting it's going to Netflix, was expecting Seven to air it. although this is not the first time Australian streaming services have done this. Scream, Ash Vs Evil Dead, Billions and others have aired on Netflix, Stan and Presto as they have aired in the US. this might continue here with more shows as they air on TV in the US. FTA is pretty dead.

I've watched the first 3 eps and its quite slow, if it was airing on TV here I would give it up after half a season.

I don't see this lasting more than a season, unless they pick up the pace and make it more interesting.

its on Netflix, anyone check it out?

an lol moment in ep 2 there was a Jack Bauer moment, he said "dammit"
