How come there is no thread for Australia's greatest light entertainment variety show?

Granted some of the questions are a little bit "over one's head" and it relates more to "Music" and it satisfies my audiophile tendencies. But 1. a quiz, 2. some gibing by Julia Zemiro and 3. some live music makes a great evening's entertainment

All compacted into 1 hour too :<

hmmm. i'm really surprised that there isn't already a thread for this show.

I don't mind this show. I like Julia's quirkiness. I agree that some of the questions do go over my head.

It has a cult following.

Its possible this show would be enjoyed more in a live environment (ie being there) as the experience of a live gig/ live event is never fully captured

Rockwiz did play at the Enmore a little while back (and they tour up and down the east coast once a year), it was sold out in 4 seconds Image

In terms of the questions its an interesting mix, one minute theyre asking about Scott Walker's 'The Drift' album (ie an album which less than 20 people in Australia own it) or the fact there was another Nirvana before Kurt Cobain's Nirvana, and next minute they are talking about Phil Collins, John Farnham, Inxs

The best thing about Rockwiz is how its genuine light entertainment

They had a scoring system because its meant to be a quiz The scoring system is confusing, but the score doesnt matter, its not a game show. Theres no prizes

For six weeks, SBS aired RockWiz Salutes the Decades (from late May until early July). Each episode specified on a decade, starting from the 1950's for ep 1. Ep 6 was a decade-and-a-half with the 2000's.

I watched most of these episodes and quite enjoyed them. This season aired on Saturday nights, a good alternate to the garbage the other networks aired! lol

anyone else watch it?

By the way, should this topic be moved to the "general tv" forum rather than this current "Comedy" forum?

anyone been watching Rockwiz over the last few Saturday nights? Each episode has been based on certain countries, like USA, England, Canada and NZ. The show has been official titled as "Rockwiz Salutes the Legends: ... of [insert country]".

The final of the season is tomorrow night and will focus on Australia
