Network Ten’s new US drama ‘Homeland’ premieres Sunday January 22 at 8:30pm.

The trilling new series follows Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes, pictured) as a Central Intelligence Agency
officer who has come to believe that an American Marine now poses a significant risk to national security.

The main cast also includes Damian Lewis as Nicholas Brody, Morena Baccarin as Jessica Brody, David Harewood as David Estes, Diego Klattenhoff as Mike Faber, Jackson Pace as Chris Brody, Morgan Saylor as Dana Brody and Mandy Patinkin as Saul Berenson.

Airing on Showtime in the US, the series has already been renewed for a second season of 12 episodes.

I'll check it out, not sure if it'll be to my liking or even Australia's liking but we'll see.
its on a little earlier than expected too, I guess Ten couldn't wait any longer.

Looks intriguing. At last some intelligent drama!

Ive seen the entire season, its a really great show. Probably in my top 5 best shows of last year. I think it definitely has potential to be successful out here but you never know - Iraq/Terrorism shows/storylines have been done to death in the last decade so that might put people off. Claire Danes is really not awful in this which surprised me the most because pretty much everything shes been in up till this was mediocre at best. Definitely worth watching.

I've commented elsewhere, so didn't want to overdo it, but definitely looking forward to this.;)
As it's a short series, hopefully ch10 won't have time to stuff it around too much.

You know, as much as I like DL, I wonder why there wasn't an American actor who could have played the role ?

Reasonable first ep. - definitely enough there to return.

Anna doesn't look nearly as intimidating with longer hair. ;)

It was a good first episode but it didn't blow my mind. I will continue to watch it but I hope it gets better.
