The newest animation to turn up on Fox- this one well-free of Seth MacFarlane- about a family who run a burger store, is more akin to a Dilbert-type workplace comedy than the other family-based animated comedies on Fox. Also the main character isn't a doofus- he's actually very competent, he just has to cope with those around him who frustrate him and generally disappoint him i.e his kids. ("Listen, you're my children, and I love you, but you're all terrible at what you do. And I feel like I have to tell you...I'd fire you all if I could.")

I've watched the first episode and laughed frequently and laughed hard. If you like either the other animated Fox comedies and/or Life and Time of Tim/Archer/Adult Swim stuff than this should be up your alley. Lots of petty squabbling, inappropriate child molestation and cannibalism jokes, nary a lesson to be learned.

It features one of the funniest voices in television H. Jon Benjamin (from the also hilarious Archer and Aqua Teen Hunger Force) and the hilarious Kristen Schaal (Mel from Flight of the Conchords).

I will download this immediately - Archer is possibly the funniest animated comedy on tv at the moment so im looking forward to seeing another show starring H. Jon.

good news!! ELEVEN is gonna be airing this on Animation Fixation night!!

Airdate: Bob’s Burgers

ELEVEN will air FOX’s animated comedy Bob’s Burgers a series about “a man, his family and their floundering burger joint. Despite the greasy counters, lousy location and occasionally spotty service, Bob and his lovable and quirky family are convinced their burgers are their ticket to success.”

The voice cast includes H. Jon Benjamin, Dan Mintz and Kristen Schaal.

The series only premiered in the US this week.

It premieres at 9:30pm Wednesday 26th January. King of the Hill will move to 10pm.

another Fast-Tracked show for 11.

You know what i initially wasn't going to watch this show but after the ratings in the US i decided to give it a look and surprisingly its quite funny. Glad that Eleven has decided to bring it to us.

don't know why Eleven didn't decide to fast-track season 2, there was plenty of room for it in their Wed lineup..

Returning: Bob’s Burgers

Animated US series Bob’s Burgers returns to ELEVEN next month.

This is the second season which premiered in the US in March.

It will replace The Cleveland Show.

“The Belchies”

The kids explore an abandoned taffy factory to find treasure, but it happens to be
on the day of the demolition. Bob and Linda must rescue the kids before it’s too late.

10pm Wednesday June 13.

I watched it when season 1 was on, it was good but not hilarious but watchable.

That's a pretty good description of it. I'm annoyed Eleven didn't repeat it so I could catch the episodes I missed.

Archer is on ABC2 next week too.

Well, I think it's pretty hilarious.

I think Archer's funnier though. But both are awesome.

Anything animated with H.Jon Benjamin in it invariably makes me laugh. A lot.

Guy is funny.

Love this show. To me it's the spiritual successor of King of the Hill. Full of oddball, funny characters, grounded by a brilliantly deadpan, constantly exasperated, straight man.

Just fun.

Alright! A thread for this show

Its an adorable little show

Its much better than Family Guy or American Dad, Im not a fan of either of those two shows, and they both have used up their A-Material

Alas Family Guy is dreadful with the amount of cutaway gags, and unnecessary pop culture references they need to do to do forced humour

Anyway enough slagging Seth Macfarlane, Bob's Burgers is as grounded as the Beef which is served on his beef patties. It is relatable and thrives on real life situations and resolutions. In many ways this show would work in live action!
