I watched snippets early in the season, but sadly, that's about it (cause of work).

What you reckon about tonight's final? Negotiations are underway if a new season would be made for next year, but nothing certain has been made. So tonight may potentially be the shows final episode ever. Thoughts?

I thought this season and the finale were excellent! I hope we get another season but if we don't it ended well.

Renewed: Offspring to return in 2016

TEN has pulled off the near-impossible, confirming this morning that Offspring will return for a sixth season in 2016.

The network -and its most fervent fans- had never given up hope for a return by the series, which wrapped its fifth season in 2014.

Back then cast and producers moved onto other projects, while the cost of the show had risen having surpassed 65 episodes, ruling it ineligible for further Screen Australia funding.

But the universe has aligned and TEN confirms the return of Dr Nina Proudman and indicates “the story of her daughter Zoe, sister Billie, brother Jimmy, mother Geraldine and all her other family and friends is far from over.”

Asher Keddie and Kat Stewart are both confirmed for Season 6. *Continues in link below*

Offspring returns to Wednesdays on Ten

After a long hiatus from our screens, Ten has confirmed Offspring will be back later this month.

Offspring follows the loveably chaotic members of the Proudman family and stars TV Week Gold Logie winner Asher Keddie as obstetrician Nina Proudman and AACTA Award winner Kat Stewart as her sister Billie.

Eighteen months on from where season five left off, Nina has been in a relationship with dedicated midwife and colleague Leo (Patrick Brammall). Billie has been managing husband Mick’s (Eddie Perfect) tour in the UK and youngest sibling Jimmy (Richard Davies) runs his busy Mexican taqueria while his wife Zara (Jane Harber) undertakes the gruelling challenge of studying for a medical degree.

This season Nina must manage a whole new onslaught of mishaps and revelations, as well as unprecedented professional and personal trials that will see the Proudman clan tested as never before.

When a tragedy brings the family back together, the stability of life unravels, forcing them once again to question what they thought they knew about themselves and the past – and changing the dynamics of the family forever.

Offspring season six premieres Wednesday, 29 June at 8.30pm on Ten.

anyone actually watching this latest season of Offspring, or have you given up?

I have sadly given up on this show some time ago. Just got tiresome, unfortunately.
