Finally got my hands on the last 2 seasons on DVD and had myself a mega Will & Grace marathon over the weekend. Gotta say, I am really going to miss the show.

I did notice that seasons 7 & 8 had a very different feel to earlier seasons of the show, but knowing the show as well as i do, I'd put it down to the characters growing up and finally dealing with other situations like the death of a parent, divorce, serious relationships and things of the like.

In regards to the finale. I had a serious hard time with the Friends and Sex and the City finale, and pretty much knew I was going to have the same time with this one, so I had my box of tissues ready to go.

The finale - Seeing Will & Grace as aged bitches, Grace with the bad die job and huge ass, Will with the pudgy tummy and bald head scared me a little. The make-up job was brilliant. And seeing Jack marry Kevin Bacon and Karen ending up with Rosie, gave me a giggle.

The ending did feel a little rushed, but I didn't mind. Where Friends managed to tie everything off and pretty much leave it and a stop, we got to see what happened over the next 20 years with the group, and I really appreciated that the creators allowed us to see that. We spent 8 years with them, I think it was befitting we got to see the rest.

Seeing both Will & Grace happy in their separate relationships, with their kids was nice, but saddening they weren't friends.

The tears didn't hit until the discovery that the two kids in school were actually Ben and Lila! Jack and Karen sharing their final moments together was simple, beautiful and touching....ending it with a bellybutton kiss!

I think the creators, writers and actors created a wonderful, funny and touching show, that I will miss dearly. No one else could have played Will Jack Karen and Grace as well as Eric, Sean, Megan and Debra. Thank you.

Side note, bit of extra info on the side that was included in the finale DVD special....Debra was originally up against Nicolette Sheridan to play Grace!

Why the hell is it taking so long to release a complete box set? Seven has finally screened all episodes, the whole series should be out by now, why's it taking so mega long?

Well, we should see more movement on the releases now. They were only a Video EZY (NOT EzyDVD) release only, but now Universal (I think) has the rights and are re-releasing the first five seasons with Season 6 to follow soon after.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I finally forced myself to watch the last ever episode of this show after buying season 8 on DVD.

Ive been putting it off for ages cos I didnt want the show to end lol.

Well I finally watched it and as loserish as this sounds..... [spoiler:b7f738fe1f]I cried 3 times during the episode!

The first time was when Will and Grace turned around to see eachother... and they were old! HOW SAD!

Then I cried after Jack and Karen sang [i:b7f738fe1f]Unforgettable[/i:b7f738fe1f] and then bumped stomachs like the first time they met! (AWW! lol)

And then i cried in the last scene ever when they are at the bar toasting to their friendship while [i:b7f738fe1f]Youre My Best Friend[/i:b7f738fe1f] by Queen played. SOOOOO SAD!! lol. I swear that ill never watch that episode again haha.[/spoiler:b7f738fe1f]

I have yet to get the final three seasons. Its not a huge priority, but I do want to see how it all ends so I'll just wait until I'm ready. :D

As sad as Season 8 is, its one of the funniest seasons. Season 6 would have to be my least favourite, but its still a hoot and half to watch!
