Airdate: White Collar

TEN will premiere a new US cop drama, White Collar, in the final week of ratings.

Set to screen after the Celebrity MasterChef finale, it is obviously being given a leg-up as one of the network’s summer offerings.

Matt Bomer stars as Neal Caffrey a con-man who escapes from prison but caught by his nemesis, FBI agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay). But after Caffrey gives Burke evidence in another case the two decide to work together. Rather than returning to jail, Caffrey offers to provide his criminal expertise to assist Burke in catching other elusive criminals in exchange for his eventual freedom.

Despite its 48 Hours-style plot, reviews have been positive for this one.

From the USA Network, the same network as Burn Notice, the series has only just kicked off in the US.

It airs after the 2 hrs MasterChef finale at 9:30pm Wednesday November 25 on TEN.

I'll give this show a go, didn't know what it was about until now.

I'm quite enjoying this show. It's a bit like Monk or Psych, light crime series.

I can't imagine this'll last long on Ten, considering those two shows are gone gone gone from Ten's schedule.

But I hope it gets a good run over summer.

I've seen the first three episodes. The pilot is brilliant (& I hope Ten airs it [i:e25a44ca40]all[/i:e25a44ca40] - it's approx 1hr long without ads). Second episode didn't impress me much, but the third episode got back on track for me. 8)

That's exactly what I thought.

Hopefully it keeps on track.

I agree, but there's something about USA Net's shows that keep me engaged.

Episode 3 was fun.

Anyway, this is the reason I don't believe less popular shows deserve a non spoiler and spoiler thread. People who end up downloading it will just find the newest thread and comment in it....

this moves to ONE, only after being played on Ten not long ago.

Returning: White Collar

US crime series White Collar returns to screens at the end of the month.

It is back on ONE at 9:30pm Sunday May 27.

“On Guard”

Despite their newly arisen trust issues, Neal and Peter have to work together to catch a thief who took his stash out of the Federal Reserve.

Rather oddly, while TEN is playing sport at that time, its old sports channel is now playing Drama.

Sunday is the wrong place for this, needs to be on a Tuesday night at 8:30 or something.
