Hot dudes all over The CW will be coming back next season! The network may have been the last to get its 2012-2013 season started, but it's the first to get its 2013-2014 season started, having just ordered a ninth season of Supernatural, a fifth season of The Vampire Diaries, and a second season of Arrow to debut next fall.

Not a surprise ultimately. The only surprise is how soon the renewal came. I wasn't expecting it anytime before March/April.

Not Surprised either. Ive been hearing rumours Carver has this arc planned out to a possible 10th Season also. At the moment though the shows been getting interesting again, so lets see where they go with it.

looks like this weeks another Kevin episode.

10 seasons ... ugh, they need to raise the quality. Having said that, this Men of Letters thing looks promising ... Kevin can go jump, and I'm not a fan of Crowley, and Castiel has got a bit too stupid, but now they've got the "key that can open/solve anything" (tablets?) they are in a fair position to prevail in any conflict!

(The Initiative? Reanimating monsters? Did I switch over to Buffy s4?)

True. Season 6 was a major let down for me. I expected such amazing things from it considering how fantastic Season 5 was. Season 7 improved somewhat and from what I've seen of Season 8 so far, it has been pretty great too. Having said that, I still have some major issues with this season. A lot of questions havent been answered properly and things have been left unattended. One of the things I loved about Supernatural was that they minimised the loopholes in their storylines as much as was possible. Yet, they're neglecting to do that with the recent seasons. For example, why did Sam not look for Dean when he went to purgatory? This question haunts me everyday. The excuse Sam gave, was a piss poor excuse. It kills me. And wasnt there a shadow in the dark stalking Sam? Who was that?

Im also not happy with how towards the end of this season, Dean has been pushed to the sides and has been given the role of a carrier rather than the fighter. He said how he cant carry the burden of the trials but can carry Sam through them. That's bull. The storyline forcefully pushed Sam forward to shine.

Other than that, my love for Dean has only gotten better (worse?). I have now developed some form of a psychotic obsession, which will definitely make it near impossible for me to let him go when the series end. Major attachment issues. It's not even my fault. As if he wasnt beautiful enough before, they had to put glasses on him in Season 8!

Ive had many favourite moments from this season too. Dean's excitement over him finally having his own room and being able to cook in a kitchen literally hurts my heart.
He'll never understand just how much of me belongs to him.

How much life do you still see in Supernatural?

PEDOWITZ: As a fan of the show, who’s seen every episode, as long as I’m here and those numbers still hold, may it go as long as it wants.

Season 10 and beyond confirmed by CW president Mark Pedowitz if ratings stay favorable. 8-)

So..... Thoughts on Bloodlines the back door pilot ep? IMO it looks like it might end up similar premise to The Originals, what with all the monster families squabbling for power over the city, only swap New Orleans for Chicago.

Also connection to that is it's interesting to see Nathaniel Buzowhatshisname in another role - after playing Kol on Vampire Diaries.

Also there seems to be a few different monster classes in this to throw some interesting dynamics in there. What were the five again? shapeshifters, werewolves, Djinn, Vamps and...?

Last three eps of the season next up.

Horrible. I erased it from my memory because of how much of a soap opera 'Bloodlines' wanted to be... :X

Gladly yesterdays episode was a return to form for the show and I hope it stays that way! 8-)

The CW has chosen NOT to move forward with the 'Supernatural: Bloodlines' spin-off. :<
