Yes, Madchen was the waitress - Shelly. She was married to that slimeball Leo the trucker.

No word on the DVD release, which is very very annoying.

According to a David Lynch fan site I came across, DL is working on his current movie, but after that's done he'll get around to organising the release of S2 DVD. At the earliest, it'll be released in the U.S at the end of the year, but more likely it won't be until next year.

Which is very annoying, I agree.

I jsut thought i would post some thoughts on seaosn 2 as i finish watchiging.

This show goes from incredible tv to almost laughable and back again minute to minute.

It has me jumping for joy, pissing myself with laughter, scared out of my wits, and overjoyed sometimes instantaniously.....

I am enjoying season 2, but it is certainly a different show...

There was an old topic for the show, but i guess it was pruned.

I have just finished watching the show for the second time and enjoyed it even more this time.

It fascinates me on some unexplainable level and there is still so much i don't understand. Most people would say that it was because it wasn't explained properly but knowing Lynch's other work leads me to believe that we weren't supposed to get everything.

The final scenes of the second series are so bizarre and random that it is hard to understand the significance of what is going on in the Black Lodge (or the Red Room).

Where does Bob fit into all this? Who is the Midget? Who is the Giant?

Just where would the show have gone after the ending? With Bob manifesting himself in Cooper...how would the show have continued.

I am desperately wanting to discuss the show with other people who have seen it?

Someone, anyone

The first season is close to my favouritest show of all-time.

Haven't seen the second season yet. I've heard bad things about it though.

But I absolutely adore the first season. Practically flawless, in my mind.

Season 1 of Twin Peaks is the most mysterious, enigmatic, hilarious (Agent Dale Cooper = hilarity), engrossing season of television I've come across. Love it. :D

ETA: There's a topic for this in drama section. Which is what I think of the show as.

Lol, there must have been a topic in each.

I think Season 2 is great.

The Laura Palmer mystery is solved earlier in the season, so naturally the show has to move on.

Some of the things work, others not quite so much.

But the great quirkiness i still very much intact.

When the second mystery really takes off the show becomes very exciting.

Season 2 really opens the show up more, and there are way more characters to keep up with, but after your love off The Wire this wont be an issue for you ;)

And I do love David Lynch.

I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I just like to think the worst so I'm not bitterly disappointed.

This is an amazing show. One of the few Lynch things I like. I loved the characters (this is some great pie you got here) and the level of mystery it upheld... Sort of like Lost. Shame the way it ended though. Talk about a "never would have guessed that... ass holes!" shock twist.
