It ran for 2 seasons. It was a huge hit to begin with, but by the end of the second season nobody watched it because it was leading nowhere.

I thought i would dig up the thread as i just brought and watched Season 1 on DVD.

I have to say that i enjoyed it.

You obviously have to look past the dated look, but the storyline is solid and the cast great.

I was very annoyed when the season ended with the cliffhanger though.

I will be waiting with anticipation for Season 2 on dvd.

Don't worry, you're not alone. I didn't get it. I hate David Lynch, though.

It was really popular though! Northern Exposure is much better, IMO.

 The strange tale of the mystery of the "girl wrapped in plaaaastic"

I watched the series when first out on TV even going to the effort of taping iit all so I could watch it later to try and work who did it! Could never make some sense of a lady who spoke to logs and a town that seemed to all be on some illegal substance permantly!

The second series was weirder again and I just could not get into watching it !

Tell me something - I never really found out - but was it Father who did it or one of the other weirdo Men in the town that killed her???
Life is like a box of chocolates - a mixture of things filled yuckky, crud stuff and others filled with stuff to make you smile!
Remember the nice stuff & keep on smiling :)
