[quote:44a13f9aaf="narf"]Well I'm a fan of Anne Rice, Bram Stoker and other vampire lore and I think True Blood follows vampire canon more than Twilight.

They can't go into the daylight because they're sparkly?
And then there's Stefan and his special ring?

Sorry but it just don't seem right to me.[/quote:44a13f9aaf]
Why not, they covered it in Angel with the Ring of Jarmel.(sp?)

maybe if it doesn't do well with the ratings, they could
probably move it to Moonlight's slot once that finishes.

and Allie, they meant it was meant to start sometime after October 4th so
since its on September 28th, its before the full launch starts. they won't air
it on 9, whats the point of that. it'd rate even less there.

[quote:59f9ada7a4="Annegelic"]The pilot was so cheesy and lacking depth. I was cringing through all the "aw aren't they so cute" staring scenes between Elena and Stefan. None of the characters seem likeable possibly except for Elena's ex-bf. And of course Ian Somerhalder, he's the only good thing about the show from what I could tell so far. The show had a One Tree Hill-type background with decent music/scenery, but with the production of Days of Our Lives/Bold and the Beautiful cheesiness, with Disney channel actors (bar Ian Somerhalder) ie same kind of "talent" as Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, etc.

NO way does this compare to the awesomeness that is True Blood. That's just insulting. :P[/quote:59f9ada7a4]
Who was comparing it to True Blood. More like the comparison is with Twilight.

The second episode was good, Somerhault (sp?) totally rocks! He portrays the baddie so well. Loving the tension between Edward oh I mean Stefan and Damon! How awesome was the rooftop scene?

Loving it in 720p as well, much better than Nine's blocky telecast. Oh the beauty of downloading.

I thought the second episode was much better than the pilot.

I'm starting to get a clearer picture of the direction they're taking the show now.

From the pilot, I thought it was going to be somewhat procedural like Supernatural. With a case/kill/attack each week. But it looks like its going to be more serialised, which I like.

Somerhalder was better in the second episode too. He wasn't as over the top.

Just Finished this. :D

First up - Pretty short Pilot? Is this meant to be a 30 Min show? It ran for just over 45 mins on my PVR.

Liked how it went straight into things though. It was interesting enough, kept me hooked on how their Vampires work for this show (Stefan's Ring and the whole Doorway thing) and Was not expecting Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to be so Evil... Whoa. :D

Also great soundtrack already as well.

Looking forward to the next Ep! :D
