Star Wars Episode 3 was a definite surprise after 1 and 2 being so ordinary.

LOVED Enemy at the Gates; LOTR Trilogy (the books bored me a bit, but the movies were FANTASTIC); Spiderman 2 (because you always half expect sequels to suck); Pirates of the Carribean.
I may be a geek, but it's one of my endearing qualities.

Never have i been to a movie, where everyone in the theatre sat still in their seats, without speaking for a good five minutes after the film ended. As it did to me, the heavy issues and themes had a profound effect on everyone and the way it was presented was just esquisite. The characterisation was perfect and every moment of the film was memorable. Definitely a movie I would recommend to everyone.

Shaun of the Dead and Rocky-I definitely liked them a lot more than I thought I would-especially with Rocky-since it's been parodied so many times I didn't think it'd be that great but I was proven wrong, I found it to be a very good film :)

The War

I just watched this for the first time, didn't know much about it going into it. heard it was good, picked it up on dvd cheap and checked it out today. was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it, wasn't bored. story and setting were good, good casting and great acting by all. especially the kids, and the ending made me tear up a little.

I watched Rosewater at the cinemas today. I thought it was a great movie.

Sadly, it's not a mainstream film. It's playing at the smaller cinemas in Sydney and not at the big chains.

But I do recommend watching it.
