I have noticed that this thread has not been posted on for over two years, which is surprising. Hollywood is becoming more reliant on sequels to be making big money for the studios. Personally, I am looking forward to the many great sequels being released in 2009. Many people probably do not know just how jampacked next year is with sequels. Here is ten of my favourites. Just to let you know now, I count prequels as well.

Friday the 13th
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Star Trek
Angels and Demons
Terminator Salvation
Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian
Fast and Furious
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Final Destination 4

2009 is going to be another great year of movies. Better than this year, for sure.

no, not the title of a movie but just noticed there are quite a lot of sequels out this year and have been released so far.

Scream 4
Fast Five
Pirates 4
The Hangover 2
Transformers 3
Final Destination 5
Paranormal Activity 3
Harold And Kumar 3
Twilight Saga
Piranha 2
Mission Impossible 4
Sherlock Holmes 2
Kung Fu Panda 2
Happy Feet 2
Cars 2
Spy Kids 4

no Saw 8, am I missing any? not sure if there are any from January - March.

and the thing is, theres nothing else I wanna see besides some of these sequels.

how many were released last year? not as much I reckon.

it'll be interesting to see how many of them are released each year.

I'd like to say the same, but due to the distinct lack of anything original or better, I'll probably see most of em.

You know what, I have just had no time to go out and see any of the good movies at the moment. Once stuff for uni finishes, I should be able to go see all my movies on my list at the moment which will probably be around 15th June.

Source Code, Water for Elephants, Pirates 4, Hangover 2, X-Men: FC, Super 8.

the only movies I've seen this year so far just happened to be sequels.

Scream 4, Fast and Furious 5 and just recently Pirates 4.

will be seeing Hangover 2 this week and Transformers 3, other movies out this year that aren't sequels don't interest me.

will be seeing Xmen First Class, not really a sequel but a prequel but it has Xmen in the title so it kinda is.
