Bloody 'ell! Hollywood just loves a sequel...

The only one in that list that seems anywhere near necessary (and it isn't, but it's been on the cards since the original) is the third Pirates of the Caribbean film.

"Under Siege 3: Plane Danger" Due in 2007!
Plot: Casey Ryback is sent on a mission to take out Muslim terrorists who have taken over a flight from Israel to USA. [/quote:b41b2f6384]

Is Steven Segal [i:b41b2f6384]really[/i:b41b2f6384] that desperate? Yes, yes he is! Number 2 was questionable to put in nicely.

And some of the rest of that list:

American Pie 5:The Naked Mile - number 4 was really a spin off so I guess this is too

The Brazilian Job (the sequel to the Italian Job) - this must be the one where the team all get a bikini wax ;)

Clerks 2 - Oh Kevin say it isn't so!!!

Futurama - a sequel?

Indiana Jones 4 - Can Harrison live through it? Last I saw Callista looked like she was putting him through the wringer.

SpaceBalls 2: The Search For More Money! - wasn't this the title mentioned in the original movie? Are they really doing this or has someone just got confused?

It's sad when Hollywood tries to cash in on what were originally good movies and ends up ruining the memory of the original by creating a CRAP sequel. I just hope this isn't the case. But some of these are destined to go head down this path. I just hope they rename [i:b41b2f6384]Clerks 2[/i:b41b2f6384] before it gets released, because it's unlike Kevin Smith to have such an unimaginative title.

Definately be seeing Pirates Of The Caribbean 3, Rush Hour 3 and of course Bean 2 ;)

Alien vs Predator could be interesting and unless the producers can turn Noah's Ark into modern times I doubt Evan Almight will be good.

tisk tisk tisk

Hollywood just churn them out, anything that made a bit of an impact gets a sequel even when unnecessary. Really annoys me.

I'll admit there are some sequels that are fun to watch, but not many top the original or come close to. The only sequel i prefer over the original is Terminator 2, and Aliens. No other sequel has come close to topping the first in the franchise.

Bourne Supremacy was a fantastic film, but not as good as identity number 3 should be enjoyable but won't top the first.

I also think action films like Die Hard, Mission Impossible can pull off multiple films as they become a franchise and i see them as kind of episodes in a television series, which are enjoyable. Once it ventures away from the characters they currently use though it becomes bland.

Agree completely. But I'd also add that if they can't get back the majority of the ensemble cast (Speed 2 is an example of when they don't) then they also kill it.
