Hoyts at Eastgardens is where I go, and it's $9 for a child/student.

I dont think its too outragous. But I love going to the cinemas. I just wish there was more out that was exciting enough to get me to go out and see them.

Go to AMC. Students are $7.50 as are adults with the discount card.

Still paying $15 on my end, I have given up on purchasing drinks from the counter - rip off & not much of a range.

These days I'll try and sneak in some food from the food court but I've been busted with a Oportos burger before.

And before you have a good at me I always take my rubbish with me as I leave.

I never bother trying to buy anything from the counter anymore as they seem to charge ridiculous prices. I don't go out to the movies that often anyway, maybe once or twice a year at most. As for ticket prices themselves I can get them reasonably cheaply usually.

never by from the candybar thingo never, usually go to coles, where you can make up your own cup of lollies, you squeeze bout a 1000 in to a really small cup, haha pack em right in!

Though at pirates premiere we didnt have enough time to run to the other side of the plaza so we brought KFC! sneaked it in, at Zingers and fries lol da best!

You can usually take your own food to the movies but they frown on hot food. I know because once I had maccas fries and I had to eat them before I went in the cinema.
The cinema here in armidale costs me $9.70 for student and their food and drinks are cheap. They also have a cafe onsite as well which has good food.
It costs me $11 at the Greater Union if I want to go to the movies. Has anyone been to the Gold Class at the Greater Union? I know Parramatta GU has one. But its $36 a ticket

Lt. Reed: What do you suggest I eat?
Dr. Phlox: You're welcome to some of the moth larvae I feed to my Pyrithian bat.

Hehe once I snuck a KFC meal into the cinemas...suprisingly no one caught me even though the smell of chicken was wafting from my bag

I used to be able to buy a combo and my ticket from Village Cinemas and have change from a $20, but slowly the prices got higher and higher :(
