Hey

The whole idea about SVU moving to Wednesdays is because they are showing the "adults only" episodes that were not suitable for 8:30pm and thats why in fact, i will get the 9:30pm Wednesday timeslot. So Medium will continue as usual. It is doing quite well considering the competition.

An interesting way for a programming change to occur.

[quote:322d83b352][b:322d83b352]Copyright fight costs Nine[/b:322d83b352]

The cold war between Channel Seven and Channel Nine turned hot when the pretender to the ratings throne won a Federal Court injunction stopping Nine from screening a documentary about students learning to work together.

Channel Seven argued footage used in Nine's heavily publicised "premiere special" DAREing the Kokoda was its property, having been shot for Today Tonight last year. The contentious material showed students from Punchbowl Boys High tackling the Kokoda Trail under the stewardship of campDARE, a charity teaching discipline.

Nine's senior corporate counsel, Andrew Stuart, said the founder of campDARE, Brett Murray, said Seven gave him footage shot for Today Tonight that was not subject to copyright.

However, Justice Annabelle Bennett issued an injunction, forcing Nine to cancel the screening at the last minute.

Will Davies, the owner of Look Films, said Lebanese-Australian youth in Sydney's western suburbs were the real losers in the ratings war.

"These kids ... they're not all a branch of al-Qaeda," he said.

The case will return to court next Thursday.

[quote:458b27c259]It [Seven] has big plans for new shows, mainly Australian-made, after it runs out of this year's episodes of Desperate Housewives and Lost in [i:458b27c259]August.[/i:458b27c259]

...

However, I understand Seven's Sunday-night schedule will be revamped after the two-week Easter non-ratings break in a bid to win more viewers on the first night of the ratings week. Among the rumoured plans is a locally made comedy-variety show that will try to emulate the Sunday-night success of Ten's The Comedy Company all those years ago, and provide a family alternative to Nine's 60 Minutes which, for the want of anything else to watch on Sundays at 7.30pm, dominates the night.[/quote:458b27c259] - Green Guide (The Age)

Isn't [i:a5ab428b0d]My Restaurant Rules[/i:a5ab428b0d] on Sunday nights?

Im kind of indifferent about that [i:a5ab428b0d]Lost [/i:a5ab428b0d]and [i:a5ab428b0d]Desperate Housewives [/i:a5ab428b0d]article. 6 months till we see the final episodes? Up to 23 weeks away? Thats a long time to wait, there's only 24 episodes in the season and we've seen 6 or 7 already. :? Not liking this pospect, might resort to downloading...

Yes MRR is 7.30 Sunday, they would be stupid to move it, the first elimination episode will be the first Sunday back from easter, it should start increasing then.

Also there is no Celebrity Overhaul (Backyard Blitz is back) at 6.30pm which will allow 7/10 to perform a little better then.

Although I understand that American Dreams will never get good ratings here in Oz, I don't see why King of the Hill has to air during the days. I kind of like it at night, to be honest. And it's such a good show, why can't they put it on Wednesday nights followed by Scrubs? Surely My Wife and Kids can't have THAT many more episodes to go?? God!! There's more episodes than the Wayan brothers!!

As I wrote in the old programming thread Seven are planning a sketch comedy show, named 'Let Loose Live'. With numerous Fast Forward cast members and others, Andrew Curry etc...

They have now filmed a pilot, William McInnes (ex Blue Heelers) was the host for this episode. Like Saturday Night Live the host will change everyweek. By all reports it was a very good report and should be hitting our screens faily soon.

Don't know if this has been mentioned but Third Watch was cancelled in the USA and i think only has 4 episodes left to air.

Last episode is titled "End of Tour".

As i said don't know if this is old news, but i was very shocked to hear it.

'Sunday Sunrise' will become 'Weekend Sunrise' from April 10th. Co-hosts should be Chris Reason and Lisa Wilkinson. The show is now under the control of the Seven Sunrise producer and will shift focus to become more of a sister program to Sunrise.
