7two is nothing but a place for old 80's/90's sitcoms and old British shows. nothing new from america there!

they should just change the name to 7classics or something cause thats what they are now, old eps.

its hardly a dumping ground for 7 anymore, it was when it started.

Not entirely true Cyborg. Its also the home of tennis now with Wimbledon and the summer series of the Aus Open. But you are right its not a 7 dumping ground anymore. Most of the time its older british stuff but that is what is working. Usually if Something doesn't work on Seven these days it gets pushed to 10:30pm or 7mate. I don't think the channel should be renamed. 7two is fine. ;) The thing about it though Cyborg is it has a brand and it works. GO!, Gem, One all have no brand. Its mix up all the time. 7TWO, Eleven and 7mate all have clear brands. Thats what makes them work. Sure GO! has worked for Nine but it continues to change all the time.

they don't need to have the Tennis, when theres sport on 9 they play it on the main channel even if it means taking off shows for a week or two. like with Nine and Cricket, they'll play it in primetime if they have to. take away Tennis from 7two during the day at least, play that on 7 and any primetime sport play on 7mate. do that and they are a 'tv classics' channel for fta!

also, Abc has 'Abc 2' which is more like secondary Abc channel with encores of shows from the main channel as well as new US shows exclusive to the channel, those thing are what 7two don't do anymore. it would make more sense renaming the channel then keeping it as 7two

7TWO does remain a secondary channel for the main channel. While there is a clear specific audience focus for the channel and a strong skew towards British programming (both classic and some new), it still remains as an extension of Seven as you see with the warm-up tennis events from this year, the news updates on 7TWO as well as the extended sport and news coverage you also get from time to time when they require it.

Cyborg, is it really a bad thing that this is a channel not US-skewed? You already get that on other digital-only channels such as 7mate and ELEVEN.

I watched Mistresses on 7TWO (probably the only thing in prime time this year), and had to laugh at all the denture cleaning ads. Anyway Mistresses doesn't fit the "classic" brief, but still fits 7TWO as it is now. I'm not sure why they need to change when their regular audience seems quite content with the current branding. If they were to change I would suggest they call it ABC1995.

Heeeeyyyyyy!!! Lois and Clark was great, must see tv. Back in the day. And Dean Cain was very scrumptious. Back in the day.

Disclaimer: (I tried watching it recently too and found it to be a bit ... Er ... underwhelming :| )
