[quote:48cc824ea6="Sunnydale Darkness"]I don't understand why ABC2 has to extend it's children programming from 9am to 6pm on weekends and weekdays, according to a website I read (KidsScreen tv or something to that affect). That means unique programming on ABC2 on weekends during the day will be gone.

They should keep ABC2 as it is, and move most of the programming to ABC3 and keep the kids programming on ABC1. Why make ABC2 suffer out of this?

Although the kids channel is a good idea for the network, I don't see why ABC2 should suffer out of it it's timeshifting and unique programming on weekends.[/quote:48cc824ea6]

ABC2 will be staying the same right?

ABC3 will have all the childrens coverage...

ABC3 replays Star Wars: The Clone Wars

ABC3 will play Star Wars: The Clone Wars later this month, which is another chance to see it if you didn’t see it when it aired on TEN.

The 22 part series is the first CG animated TV series created by Lucasfilm Animation.

Follow the adventures of legendary Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi and Yoda, along with Anakin’s new Padawan learner, Ahsoka Tano, as they struggle against the dark side.

Set between Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: The Clone Wars finds a dwindling number of Jedi Knights fighting to maintain freedom and restore peace to the galaxy, using their army of genetically engineered clones against the seemingly unstoppable droid army of the Separatists.

The terrible conflict grows wider as the heroes are swept into the turmoil of war, while the evil Count Dooku, his assassin Asajj Ventress, their master Darth Sidious and the mechanical General Grievous scheme to defeat them.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars features the voices of Matt Lanter (Heroes) as Anakin Skywalker, Ashley Eckstein (That’s So Raven) as Ahsoka Tano, James Arnold Taylor (Celebrity Deathmatch) as Obi Wan Kenobi and Tom Kane (Wolverine & the X Men) as Yoda.

In the first episode, Ambush, Jedi Master Yoda and three clone troopers must face off against Count Dooku’s dreaded assassin Asajj Ventress and the massive Separatist droid army, to prove the Jedi are strong enough to protect a strategic planet and forge a treaty for the Republic.

It begins 5:30pm Wednesday 13th April on ABC3.

Dance Academy finally returns.

TV Tonight wrote:Returning: Dance Academy

Hit ABC3 series Dance Academy is set to return with a new series next month, with three new cast members: former So You Think You Can Dance graduate Issi Durant, Thomas Lacey and Brooke Harman.

The series, which follows Tara Webster (Xenia Goodwin) and her friends at the National Academy, returns with 26 new episodes from 6:30pm Monday March 12th and continues each weeknight on ABC3.

Synopsis
Spoiler: show
As they begin Second Year, friendships and relationships fall apart as new ones are being forged; and rivalry and jealousy kick in as the students are forced to work harder than ever before in preparation for the world’s premiere ballet competition, the Prix de Fonteyn.

Shaking things up this series are three new characters – Grace Whitney (Issi Durant), an ex-Royal Ballet School student, gorgeous new boy, Ben Tickle (Thomas Lacey), and Saskia Duncan (Brooke Harman), an extraordinary dancer from the Company.

Grace effortlessly assumes the title as best student in the class, if not the Academy. Brilliant and dangerous, Grace is the sort of person who always gets what she wants, manipulates people without them knowing and is very difficult to catch out when she does something wrong.

In contrast, Benjamin Tickle is a breath of fresh air at the Academy. He’s like a puppy – boundless energy, a short attention span and the potential to lick you if he likes you enough. He has a tendency to say the wrong thing, has an aversion to personal hygiene and he’s hiding a secret that he’s not willing to share.

Saskia’s onstage injury has put a temporary stop to her stellar dancing career, so while she recovers she is appointed a teacher to the Second Year students. Unlike Miss Raine who pushed Tara because she saw potential, Saskia wages a personal and unjust war against Tara, which pushes Tara to breaking point and threatens her place at the Academy.

Meanwhile, Sammy’s (Tom Green) life has become increasingly more hectic as he works long hours to pay his tuition and has to deal with the confusion of finding himself attracted to both boys and girls. Ethan (Tim Pocock) helps Abigail (Dena Kaplan) discover her talents outside of ballet. Kat (Alicia Banit) discovers that her independence away from the Academy is not all that it’s cracked up to be and now has to fight her way back into the Academy. And, in the hope of figuring out who he is, Christian seeks out his father, while falling for the one person who is completely off limits.

And if all that wasn’t enough for the students a heartbreaking tragedy strikes the Academy, which throws life as they know it upside down.

Channel 23 (ABC 3) is getting a rebrand as ABC ME, although nothing much is changing. still kid focused. would have thought they'd at least add adult content from 8:30, but don't think that's the case. but the article even says kids tend to watch content for them through other means like the Internet. so what's the point, keep the daytime right up to 8:30 for kids and after then movies or something. more info in the link, it begins from September 19.
