Fox renews Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Mindy Project, New Girl and The Following all in which come quite a surprise to some considering how poorly they are rating.

TV Line wrote:Fox Renews New Girl, Mindy Project, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Following

Fox has granted early pick-ups to three of its comedies — New Girl, The Mindy Project and Brooklyn Nine-Nine — as well as its Kevin Bacon-fronted thriller The Following.

New Girl will return for a fourth season, Mindy and The Following were each picked up for a third cycle and the Golden Globe-winning Brooklyn Nine-Nine will be back for a sophomore run.

Previously, Glee was renewed for Season 6 and Bones was picked up for Season 10. Additional Fox pickups will be announced at a later date.

Axed: Raising Hope

FOX has cancelled Raising Hope after four seasons.

The last episode for the dysfunctional Chance family raising a baby named Hope, will run as a two-part, one-hour finale in the US in early April.

Spoiler: show
Executive producer Mike Mariano said in a statement, “On behalf of myself, Greg Garcia and Raising Hope‘s amazing cast and crew, I would like to thank our audience for tuning in and supporting us over the last four seasons.

“We planned our Season 4 finale with this possibility in mind, and hope our loyal fans enjoy the way we’ve chosen to say goodbye to the Chances and to Natesville. Thanks again, and we’ll see you in syndication.”

“Getting to know and love the Chance family on Raising Hope has been a sweet, hilarious ride,” Kevin Reilly, chairman of entertainment and Joe Earley, chief operating officer, FOX Broadcasting Company added. “Thanks to the incredibly talented cast — along with Greg, Mike and the entire crew — for making us laugh for four fantastic seasons.”

Raising Hope still airs in Australia Monday nights on ELEVEN, at about 11 eps behind the US.

CBS renew a whopping 18 shows with the rest that have gone to air most likely to be cancelled although one more pickup wouldn't surprise. Personally it would suck to lose The Crazy Ones over the renewal of the mediocre Mom. I think its a great comedy.

TV Line wrote:CBS Renews NCIS, Good Wife, Two and a Half Men, Mom, Five-0, Blue Bloods and 12 Others

On the heels of renewing The Big Bang Theory for three more seasons, CBS on Thursday picked up another 18 shows for the 2014-15 TV season.

Getting the nod on the drama side are NCIS (for Season 12), NCIS: Los Angeles, Person of Interest, Criminal Minds, CSI, Elementary, Hawaii Five-0, Blue Bloods and The Good Wife.

CBS’ newly renewed comedies, meanwhile, are 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly, Mom, The Millers and Two and a Half Men (which will be going into its 12th season)

Additionally, CBS greenlit new cycles of The Amazing Race, Undercover Boss, 60 Minutes and 48 Hours. TVLine’s hand-crafted Renewal Scorecard is updated.

In addition to the aforementioned big new buncha Bang, CBS had previously renewed Survivor through its winter/spring 2015 cycle.

So, thusly, still on the bubble are The Mentalist, Intelligence, Hostages, The Crazy Ones and any series premieres-to-come (such as Friends With Better Lives, which bows March 31).

NBC has renewed Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Parks and Recreation and Grimm alongside the already renewed The Blacklist, The Voice and Celebrity Apprentice.

TV Line wrote:NBC Renews Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Grimm; Parks and Rec Formally Picked Up for Season 7

Chicago Fire Renewed Season 3NBC has added three more shows to its growing roster of renewals for the 2014-15 TV season.

Chicago Fire, its offshoot Chicago P.D. and the supernatural drama Grimm will all be back with new seasons, the network announced on Wednesday evening.

Also within NBC’s announcement, Parks and Recreation Season 7 was listed among the previously announced renewals — though, technically, network boss Bob Greenblatt had only informally greenlit the beloved comedy during January’s TCA press tour.

NBC also previously picked up The Blacklist (for Season 2), The Voice (Season 7) and Celebrity Apprentice (Season 14).

TVLine wrote:White Collar to End With Six-Episode Season 6
After six seasons, USA Network is officially hanging White Collar out to dry.

The popular drama, starring Matt Bomer, will conclude with a six-episode sixth season, our sister site Deadline reports.

White Collar‘s Season 5 finale, which aired Jan. 30,

found Bomer’s character kidnapped by unknown assailants.
The shortened final season will serve to resolve that cliffhanger, as well as to tie up any other loose ends.

While I agree that it's time to end the show, six episodes doesn't seem long enough to wrap everything up. :?

didn't they do the same for Nikita? give it's final season a short season like that to wrap things up?

at least there wouldn't be any waste of time 'filler' episodes.

Bad Judge and A to Z cancelled by NBC. All episodes will be played. This comes as Manhattan Love Story was the first new show cancelled this season. Yet again not a great start for comedies at least.

What will be the first drama cancellation of the season? Thoughts?

The Mentalist has been axed, but given 1 more 13 episode season.

Witches of East end has also been axed.
